Should I linen back an old poster?
Hi, just recently purchased a lovely old pre-war Belgian poster that isn't linen backed. This is definitely going up on the wall but I'm wondering whether I should get it linen backed? I think it will display better linen backed, and I'm also wary of how the poster will sit in the frame without any adhesive to hold it up (I assume framers use tape or something?).
I really don't want it damaged and would be quite happy getting it linen backed but it's such an old poster that's never been linen backed that I'm wondering if I'm doing the right thing?
Once it's framed and on the wall I'll post photos.
