  • While vainly searching for one of Lawrence's War Movies quiz images, I stumbled upon these two images. What say ye members?
     The Insert or Daybill?

    The Daybill...

    The Insert...

  • The daybill by a slender margin only.

  • Daybill
  • Daybill...portraits at the bottom of the insert ruin it for me.
  • Daybill...portraits at the bottom of the insert ruin it for me.

Yes and while we are talking out portraits don't the large portraits on Mexican lobby cards annoy you even more ?
  • Insert.
I like the blue, dramatic artwork of ships, text of the title seems more nautical...sepia picture at btm is a negative though...

    Daybill-3
    Insert-1

Daybill! Just liked the colors, the greens in the sea and title text
  • The Australian daybill was from the great Australian poster artist Frank Tyler whose work includes The Overlanders, Eureka Stockade and Scott Of The Antarctic daybills.
  • Daybill 2 -   Insert 0
  • No competition for those last two...daybills win hands down!
  • Daybills crush!
  • I will take them both...thank you!  =)

  • Metropolis ( 1927 ) U.S.A. insert. Coming up for auction soon.

Two different original  Australian daybill poster designs of Metropolis.

I believe no contest here with the Australian daybill designs being far superior.

  • Oh yeah! Daybills for me too!  Though the insert is pretty nice

  • Never seen the Insert before, but the Daybills are stunning!
  • nice, but again I'd go daybills
