Name two films from the 1950s where the brief costumes and the over exposure caused the films to receive Suitable For Adults Only censorship ratings in Australia. Had it not been for the attire the films would have received For General; Exhibition or Not Suitable For Children ratings.
Or in no bikini...
The Moon Is Blue
Every Minute Counts
and/or
Moulin Rouge (a British film)
Correct. Son Of Sinbad from 1955.The previous image was of Sally Forrest. Saturday matinee fare rated Suitable Only for adults due to the brief costumes worn throughout the film and a few adult themes. Lili St.Cyr was also a famous high class striptease artist in the 1940s and 1950s.
The Catholic National Legion Of Decency condemned the film and called for a boycott.
Not Some like It Hot or The Outlaw but Howard Hughes is indeed the connection.
Correct it is The French Line from 1954. This now frees up you day. Good work and to think you had supplied a black and white image earlier from this film with the answer just sitting there.
