Thanks David, any thoughts on the Malaysian posts? Not being able to see them before I ask him to pick some up is always daunting, however the landscape title cards look ok (taking into account the less ideal climate that they've been living in for the last 60-70 years), the portrait small posters would have been nice (particularly the Bogart) however the trimming is a concern and looking at the two examples shown no doubt all the portraits are going to be the same.
Also surprised that English text cards were used in South East Asia? Perhaps a military base?
The use of the English language is not unsurprising as it was colonised by the English. However my wife tells me that she saw a lot of posters in the local language Tagalog (derived from English, Spanish and Asian) when she had time there as a child and in fact they do have a thriving movie industry Tagalog (Bollywood) style. She still can speak a couple of phrases, sadly none was: "can I make you a cup of coffee darling"...
That's precisely what I did when I walked around the corner!
The lovely lady had various people view this collection (auctioneers, junk shop/antique dealers and local movie buffs) to gauge interest, sadly she was far to trusting and left them to look through the 30 odd year collection unescorted. Sadly those who offered to help appraise it obviously 'helped themselves' to all the Star Wars and Bond pieces (from working through the meticulously kept inventory books and discovering empty sleeves, it was pretty easy to work out that the attraction of multiple daybills of all the Star Wars trilogy first prints and Sean Connery bond outings was too much to resist for someone with low morals), when I said that I hoped she got a good price for those gems? She knew nothing about it!

Always happy add another Genevieve to the collection!
The room was poorly lit. So excuse the darker than normal images.
There were also a tonne of these in with the jaws stash, any idea what they are? As in Aussie or US?, they're wider than a daybill and about 6 inches or so (that could be off) high.

They would print the theater details and stuff about the movie on the back blank area in their local language.
Here is a handy checklist to help tell eMoviePoster.com apart from all other major auctions!
Don't think I'll be buying anything else for a little while!

I'm sure there are some classics in that new haul. Here's a nice new one for me.

Carry On Rick...
These have the feel of US glossy paper, so figured they may have come from that direction?
Yeah agree with David, a cross promotion poster for the book probably.
Seen a few over the years, and lately seems to be more for soundtracks.
Nice Genevieve...I need me one of those.
Wouldn't look much cop framed though!
Many Congrats!
It's going to be fun looking through that lot.
I fly back tomorrow to box it up prior to shipping on Monday (new house owners move in on Tuesday!).
There's certainly some nice stuff in there, but also a fair portion of tat.
Robert Mitchum never looked so Blah!
