Very nice Mark...don't you have another Cleo already in line for linenbacking? When you going to start that?
Hahahaha... I had a nice chuckle---thanks for the wink on that one, David. This linenbacking is a tough game. Takes a lot of time and work. I had ideas of linenbacking that beauty sooner....but always seemed to get pushed back in the queue...
...it'll get done one of these days...I just need...extended wash table----larger Mylar & canvas----huge 2x4 frame----lotsa Masa & wheat paste, and several emails & phone calls to Charlie to help me double check all my procedures...
Haha! I wish i could hang with Charlie a lot to work on poster projects! He's a great guy; throw in several cold beers and grilled meat, and let the restoration begin!...or at least a fun time!
and I won't be holding onto either one. Cleo going to in-laws who liked it so much it's going to their house, and Boom has been ear-marked for a Southern Calif resident.
It's really a lot of fun getting them, linenbacking & framing them before they go to homes.
Haven't posted here for a while so thought I would bomb it with a Daybill! This is the ever elusive 1964 - The Secret Invasion!
Here's the movie description from IMBD
When the Allies need expendable soldiers for a highly dangerous mission, they offer pardons to a group of criminals in exchange for their participation. Led by the brooding Maj. Richard Mace (Stewart Granger), the motley crew, including explosives expert Terence Scanlon (Mickey Rooney) and scheming tough guy Roberto Rocca (Raf Vallone), sets out to extract a defecting Italian general held captive in a Nazi-controlled area. As they get farther into German territory, the casualties start to rise. ......Captivating!...
Fortunately, I avoided a protracted bidding war...I was the only bidder so that helped.

Yeah, it would have been embarrassing if you had lost as the only bidder.
Actually my last thought before i authorized a bid of $1.00 was, do I buy a war movie poster with Mickey Rooney in it?!! ...but to get a nice looking Daybill for that price! Can't pass that up!
I’ve been a huge fan of the Irish lads since 1980 when they debuted on mtv. First saw them in 1984, 4x in 1987, countless times after and lastly for their 30th Anniversary tour for The Joshua Tree in Sept 2017. These will look just great when I get them framed.
Cool U2 posters, Ike! Yep, I remember about that same time around 1980 floating in my buddy's swimming pool and U2 magic was delivered over the radio airwaves. We went on the record hunt later that afternoon! Good memories, Okie
