  • Never knew Jimmy Stewart did Westerns....
  • The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance and Rio Bravo are far and away the most enjoyable westerns ever made!

And rode just one horse I believe? Pie think was its name?

Huh? The Rare Breed is one of my favs with Maureen O'Hara..
  • fer sure he did, here he is on the left

Destry Rides Again is an early western that Jimmy made in 1939.

Tough, but it would be Rio Bravo. The leads are great in both, but Walter Brennan practically stole Rio Bravo, and of course there is Angie Dickinson as well!

I agree. For me it'd be Rio Bravo. With Nelson & Martin added to the mix it's so much fun to watch. And the pacing of the film is wonderful!

Jimmy rode Pie in 22 films and never had the opportunity to own him when the horse retired.

  • Wow! Guess he was in a couple Westerns.... ;)

Ha, that's my sordid lil' secret, only minor interest in movies, endlessly fascinated by intriguing imagery, inc. non-MPs:

  • Some people have to work.
  • Funny when I got booted from MPC World in May 2014, I was desperate to find a new communication outlet, so I landed a new GF and sent her a dozen entertaining/annoying text mails ("Hey babe, I just DEMOLISHED that last witness!") per day. So I was "textually satisfied."
  • I have Charlie's number if you're bored... =)
