  • I cheated, I guess.  Remembered it from some review about how the head got severed on a bridge.
  • Something a bit tougher from an older film?

  • Looks like a Bond film.  Else, I am out...
  • Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines?
  • nope and nope.  Think much older.
  • That wasn't in Black & Whitte.
  • Yes it is.  Old films used to have tints applied, usually bronze or blue.
  • Sorry, Guess it was too tough.  Oscar winner from the 30's
  • I cheated and discovered its in two movies....thats a tough one!

Process of elimination, Oscar winner from the 30s...
    1. Fairly certain Fletcher Christian wasn't put ashore in a heli-plane (?), so not Mutiny on the Bounty
    2. The land rush wasn't achieved from above, so not Cimarron
    3. I've not seen the movie but somehow doubt it's Cavalcade (too British)
    4. They would have done too much damage in the lobby so it's not Grand Hotel
    5. The war would have been over a lot quicker if they had used this, so not All Quiet on the Western Front
    6. Hard to dance in one of these, so not The Broadway Melody
    7. Wrong century to be The Life of Emile Zola
    8. I don't remember it being in You Can't Take It With You but I guess it could have been, wealthy people etc
    9. I don't remember it being in It Happened One Night but I guess it could have been, wealthy people etc
    So, it's either 8 or 9?

As both were directed by Capra my guess it was a bit of a toy for the time so it was used in both (as Jason has said it was used in two).

  • Your analysis is good.  The other one was a WC Fields film.

Folks, I really thought this was an obvious prop from the movie.  I apologize for it being too hard.  I'm going to give it to David for It Happened One Night.
  • David?  You're up.
  • Cool, I like that movie too!

OK, try this for a rainy day
  • Tough one.  After I exhausted Singin' in the Rain, I decided the umbrella looked a lot like the one in My Fair Lady.

Google searches confirmed the pin as a prop, but I couldn't find any image of anyone in the cast wearing the pin.
  • My Fair Lady is correct.
  • OK, let's try something easier, so others can play along

  • Starship Troopers
  • Yep.  That was fast.
  • Ha!  I finally got one.  Really?  My brain must have been clicking on all cylinders...

    \:D/

  • Jaws
  • Woohoo!

    OK, biatches...try this.

  • Christmas Story
  • Figured I wouldn't post give all you other guys a chance on the last few lol.
  • Charlie nailed it...
  • I watch it up to that part and then always get pulled away for something pretty much every year.
