Re: Restoration pitfalls.
An example of one that I'll be leaving 'as is', is this Wynne Davies long daybill for Billie Love's 1928 Adoration that I picked up in Perth earlier this year (Thursday 10th July gives it a 1930 release in Australia).
If the lower left section had been present it would have certainly been a restoration contender, however given that the portrait is the best bit, it should still display well.

Here is an example where neither the person getting the poster restored, nor the restorer knew what they were doing, nor it seems took the time to find out, which would have been relatively simple.
In this instance, I agree with Bruce...better to have left it blank if you had NFI!
Re: Actresses Legs Quiz
Correct. The Girl From Jones Beach was released in 1949. Well spotted.jayn_j said:208 Virginia Mayo - The Girl From Jones Beach (obviously a publicity shot)

U.S.A. poster artwork showing the lovely Virginia appearing in the white one piece swimming costume, similar to the one featured in my earlier posted image.
.

For the similar posed artwork used on the U.K. version they decided to use a more covered up Virginia wearing a dress in place of the swimming costume.

Re: Hondo's Daybill and One Sheet Q&A [Re-Titled]
Listing on emp says mailed out, so I must be getting confused.
I was told that initially the film had a small release, and these were produced to promote the screenings around Sydney.
No idea what is true.
I've been told that rolls of a MM poster could be found at Roadshow back in the day, so maybe they produced heaps of stuff in hopes of promoting the film ad nauseum...it's all a bit of a mystery

Re: All Things Film Censorship Related in Australia

The Flesh And Blood Show ( 1972 ) Australian daybill.
The N.S,W, country cinema that screened this film decided to flaunt the rules by encouraging young children to attend an M15+ rated horror film.

Re: All Things Film Censorship Related in Australia
I wonder if a 17 year old rocked up and wanted to see the film, whether they were let in.
"False advertising" I would say if the answer was no!
