Re: Hondo's This And That
If one likes the Godzilla and the Destroy All Monsters duotone daybill designs, then surely you would also like The Creeping Unknown design of the firendly looking monster as well.theartofmovieposters said:I like the one with the cute angry monkey looking thing. These bad posters are so great!

Re: Mandolin Titles
Really weird the way the title is presented. It looks like Horror Snape on Island!HONDO said:The following is a Horror On Snape Island Dutch Pal VHS videotape credited as being from 1981. This is the year before the film was submitted by 14th Mandolin and classified by the Australian censor, thus further supporting the thinking that the film only had a video release under this title in Australia.HONDO said:It would appear there will not have been a daybill of Horror on Snape Island printed, as it seems to have been released on video only.

Re: Hondo's Daybill and One Sheet Q&A [Re-Titled]
This film's artwork is so bad it has a certain appeal to me like the Godzilla King Of The Monsters daybill has.dedeposter said:I've always loved that quote - "It's a thigh slapper"

Yeah, thanks Bruce! Please stop giving me an excuse to spend money...Bruce said:I just auctioned over a million dollars of stuff over my past four sets of auctions, including a fair amount of Aussie posters.
Did anyone here get ANYTHING from it?
Re: A Do You Know Your B Movies Quiz
X77 is Vicki. I only knew this because I recently auction a still of Aaron Spelling with his then wife Carolyn Jones. In researching it I learned he had been an actor for many years before becoming a legendary producer. Vicki was one of his movies.

Re: "Good morning, Dave." 2001: A Space Odyssey will be re-released 2018-05-18 in 70mm in US!
Gosh, it almost put me to sleep the first time round...not sure I have the stamina to go round again!
Re: CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON Daybill - New Zealand Style!
Yes Lawrence, that's the style that I have a few of in my own collection. For some reason all of the stamps I have (and the ones I let go) were rather faint in application.
Although comical that they needed clarify that it was a Horror film. Unlikely anyone would assume it was a diving documentary? Although science fiction may have been a more accurate description today's standards.

I'll double your price paid for one of those It Came from Outer Space three sheets. Think of the profit!

Re: A Do You Know Your Classic Movies Quiz.
One film that is thought generally to be a classic is The Piano from 1993. I actually found the film slow going, and to be very over rated film.
I cannot comment on Action In The North Atlantic as I have never seen it myself, but there are bound to me people out there that most likely love it.
Perhaps this thread should be renamed A Do You Know Your True Classic And Pretenders Classic Movies Quiz.
