RIP Robin Dunn

Australian collectors may know of Robin Dunn from Adelaide. Sadly, Robin died last week, aged 89. His funeral was held today.
Robin remained passionate about his posters till the very end. Last time I spoke with him, he didn't mention about his illness but he did tell me about his latest cruise and some of his new poster and LC purchases.
Robin used to stay with me on his trips between Adelaide and Melbourne and I was lucky to see his collection a few times.
RIP Robin.

  • Oh man.  So sad to hear this...thanks for letting us know Rick.
Robin was such a lovely person and it was a pleasure to get to know him over the years.

    Thoughts are with his family.
  • I dealt with Robin for many, many years, and he was likely my first serious Australian consignor.

A very good and kindly man.

  • Oh no. What a man and what a collection. I was lucky to meet him once down at Tyabb.
    RIP Robin.
  • I just discovered that the last few posters I had of Robin's sold last month, and I owe him for them.

Anyone here know who his heirs were, and how to contact them? I want to get that last money to them.

  • I did some checking on Google and found the following information that should help.

The funeral company was Alfred James & Sons Unley.

    Alfredjames.com.au

    (08)82728555

Stephen, Nigel and TIna are his grandchildren.

By contacting the funeral home they should be able to supply you with a contact number.
  • I would drop an email with your details to his email account.  I am guessing someone will check
  • Thanks guys. Someone privately sent me a good lead.
