So we figured out how to get the latest post information in the child categories... The question now is poster images or no poster images as icons in the child categories?
Hey dooods, how bout a chat box? not sure if that is an implementable option or not but just a thought. was gonna look for a plugin or a stand alone like shoutbox but I am not sure what software is powering this site.
Mostly it's the images that people post, as images are not hotlinked but actual uploads to the server it would chew through the bandwidth lickity split - it was tried on other forums and that was the issue why not continued.
I'd be happy enough to have it here (it can be a lot of fun, no doubt) and certainly if we get more members we can then perhaps we can offset the cost with some sort of site advertising (banner ads). But because we don't want a gazillion ads, all over the place we need more members to offer value to the few advertisers we might allow.
true yes images would be burdensome, was a bandwidth issue why chat was stopped on that other forum? anyways just a thought but i dont think a chat window which is text would affect your current hosting plan. ranting complete

That is my understanding
Most if not all chat plugins etc allow for image uploads, but you are right text only wouldn't affect us much if at all, but I think we would all like to have image uploads, we are afterall a visual hobby
