  • "Oh my God, it's Josey Wales"!

"Well, you gonna pull those pistols, or whistle Dixie..."

  • Great line!
  • Saw this in The Age today:

Used to go there all the time before they WRECKED it!

Going to try to sneak in a viewing of The Hateful 8 on the weekend at the Astor....hopefully they don't wreck that cinema too!

  • Might be nice to see it in 70mm tho
  • Astor is showing it in 70 mm
  • Ahh, much closer - will head there then.
  • Strangerland...was on the telly over the weekend.

Reconfirms for me that I can't stand her in most movies she is in and that Hugo Weaving is a great actor!  Could watch him in anything!

Didn't find myself getting too attached to any of the characters in the film, but just wanting to know if she was found...

     You sound like my wife...
  • Watching The Notebook with my wife, nearing the end. Good movie, sad...

I watched it first without my wife, liked it. Made my wife watch it a month or so later (she doesn't like Romance movies) - she balled her eyes out.

  • Hadn't been to a movie theatre for a long time but attended two screenings this week. The first film I viewed was Brooklyn and what a beautifully crafted and entertaining  film it was and I would recommend it to one and all . It was an independent Irish, U.K. and Canadian co-production  Little can be said about the second film I viewed though. The film was called Gods Of Egypt. The C G I work at times was laughable and this along with an inferior script to start off with was only a so-so experience. The highs and lows of the art of cinema viewed closely together making one appreciate a beautifully crafted low budget film made with a discerning audience in mind over a big budget film aimed for the youth audiences of today solely in mind.
  • I just emerged from a private screening with 2-300 other families of Zootopia! It was a pretty good animated movie! The usual adult humor kept me interested. Kids liked it-certainly a thumbs up!

  • I am sorely tempted to watch Sharnado 3....
  • It did get a 36% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes so it should 1/3 good! =)
  • I've tried to watch Spotlight twice now and feel asleep both times... Maybe I can get through it tomorrow.
  • Well I finished Spotlight...  Made me want to go take my daughter out of catholic school...  But I think that is the point.  Luckily Houston wasn't on the list at the end of the film.
  • My wife will watch that, she doesn't hold the Catholic Church very highly...could get ugly
  • i was a Catholic school student, i won't return to a Catholic church because of the rampant abuse that happened and the continued attempt to deflect the blame for the cover-ups.
One of my teachers got nabbed for child porn but the biggest problems were the paedophile priests at a town less than half an hour away.
  • The Getting of Wisdom is on the telly...Gee, forgot all about this one...good little film.

  • The Warriors -FINALLY...yes yes I know.

Really enjoyed it.  Considering not much happens, lived up to the hype for me, which these days is very rare!

  • I remember seeing The Warriors at the "midnight movies" when I was in high school! Cool flick! Loved the Eagles song at the end.

  • Warriors, great cult movie - probably more so because of its corniness - like a traffic accident, can't help but look when it comes on.
  • Watching Grease, for the 20+ time. My older sister loved it, and so does my wife. For a movie & musical it's so much fun to watch!
  • I know it's corny...but fun!
    "Sandy"!

  • Fun movie!
  • Multiplyin'
  • Just watched Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2...  Kept waiting for someone to kill Katnis as the movie wrapped up but it never happened...
  • edited March 2016
I saw the first Hunger Games. Really liked it-thought Woody Harrelson had a cool part. Really need to watch the other ones.
  • I've generally never watch a movie where the children/teens are the only ones who can save the world...

Maybe try Home Alone, much more believable, as he only saves the house and not the world   ;)
