#106 - House of Usher - is there a daybill for this??

:( No...not that I have ever seen...I am assuming it is another casualty of our over zealous censors

I will make House Of Usher ( The Fall Of The House Of Usher ) the subject of my next Banned In Australia Films thread entry.

    Lifeforce ( 1985 ) and Donovan's Brain ( 1953 ) are correct.

Some information for # 109. The image shown is from the U.S.A. as I couldn't locate an Australian image. The film was apparently released in Australia as the film was classified for screening by the Australian censor in 1977.The film's applicant was N.S.Productions Pty.Ltd. and film posters from this company are very hard to locate and possibly the resemblance to the U.S. artwork could differ a great deal if one was found.

Image #110 has very subdued artwork when comparing this Australian Filmways daybill artwork to the original U.S. paper.

  • # 109 - Necromancy, #110 - Frankenstein Island

Both answers correct with Necromancy from 1972 and Frankenstein Island from 1981.

Any chance you have a daybill image of Necromancy you could share with us? I know you are interested in product from Nathan Scheinwald aka N.S. so I hoping you may have a Necromancy daybill somewhere?

  • I'd like to see it too, plus Frankenstein Island

Well I can help you with Frankenstein Island.

Frankenstein island I have, but I've never seen a Necromancy daybill - I just knew the image from a pressbook I have.
  • Is is possible to see the pressbook image please?
  •  Image # 113. Name the film title.
  • #113 - Vampyres...most unnatural ladies ;-)

Correct answer as usual from Pancho. Vampyres from 1975. Although no distributor credited on the daybill the importer of the film was Seven Keys Films  Pty. Ltd.
  •  Image # 114. Name the film title.
  •  Image # 115. Name the film title. Non Australian poster source.
  • # 114. From a controversial film-maker.

    # 115. Stars a former child actor.

  • #114 - Gothic.

#115 - it's a Golem, so that narrows things down. Given the tiny text at the top of the picture, I'm guessing it's the film 'It' from the 1960s.
  • Good guess so both Gothic from 1986 and It! from 1967 are correct. The It! image was taken off an Argentinean poster.
  •  Film # 116. Name the film title. Possibly the easiest image to identify you're ever likely to be presented with here on this quiz..
  • it's not that easy!
  • Sorry I thought it was. Famous film from the 1950s.
  • #116 - The Mad Magician?

Yes it is The Mad Magician from 1954. Image was taken off a rare Australian one sheet which I thought looked better than the similar Australian daybill image..
  • how good am I - i just bought that a few weeks ago
