The original blank stock poster certainly appears to have been printed in the 1940's, but in the case of Grand Central Murder, the daybill over printed with the Grand Central Murder credits added for this title was for a general re-release, which started nationally in Australia in 1955. So far not a person has indicated any interest in a separate new thread that would be called '' MGM Generic Stock Poster Daybills ( 1940's & 1950's )''.
Maybe if it was widened to "stock posters of the 40's & 50's" we might get a few more bites? I don't have many more than what I've already posted above, but I'm sure others would be able to add to it?

To include all the Australian generic stock poster styles of the 1940's and 1950's in one thread all at once is a huge assignment. Once MGM was covered I would had hoped to individually cover, one at a time, all the Australian film distributors, major and small, that produced this style of poster during this period of time.
I take it by your participation here you would be interested in this happening, if only as a viewer of the thread ?

I'm afraid there's no indication at all of where they were printed.
The Nevadan ( 1950 ). This is most likely the worse example of an Australian daybill image that I have ever seen from W.E. Smith. The attempt to draw Randolph Scott's image was atrocious. Looks like a bald Adolph Hitler to me. They usually got if right but had a bad day here.
