Bulgarian Posters

edited February 2017 in The '40s
When I first saw this poster I loved the imagery & color, if a bit faded. It's Joe Smith American, a US WW II movie. I like the American versions but this somewhat unique simple artwork, appealed to me. Someday I will  linen back in and hopefully bring it back to life.  And although I posted it before, I thought it nice enough to repost.

Any other Bulgarian paper out there?...

Comments

  • First I've seen...
  • Bruce has auctioned and sold zero Bulgarian posters, so good luck in your quest.
  • Huh... I bought this from Bruce, so he's sold at least one. I'm guessing their may be a few more out there in the wood pile...

  • Here is a handy checklist to help tell eMoviePoster.com apart from all other major auctions!
HAS lifetime guarantees on every item - IS eMoviePoster.com
HAS unrestored and unenhanced images - IS eMoviePoster.com
HAS 100% honest condition descriptions - IS eMoviePoster.com
HAS auctions where the winner is the higher of two real bidders - IS eMoviePoster.com
HAS "buyers premiums" - NOT eMoviePoster.com
HAS "reserves or starts over $1 - NOT eMoviePoster.com
HAS hidden bidder IDs - NOT eMoviePoster.com
HAS no customer service to speak of - NOT eMoviePoster.com
HAS "nosebleed" shipping charges - NOT eMoviePoster.com
HAS inadequate packaging - NOT eMoviePoster.com

  • Holy!...DYNAMITE! Thanks for posting that link Bruce, a quick glance and those are some posters! Love the artwork!! :plus_one:

O.K. I went into Bruce's Auction History section and looked at the '' Poster By Country'' listings. The last country listed is Ukraine with 109 entries. Obviously then , due to lack of space. there wasn't room left for countries with less than 109 to be shown. I am curious now to what countries are not shown. Morocco ( Love Crazy poster ) springs to mind. Is there a way we can access all the missing countries totals ?

Indeed. The world does not end at 109...in fact, there are exactly 108 stitches on a Major League Baseball!
  • I have a Moroccan Fistful of Dollars...
  • There's a seller from Bulgaria on ebay who lists movie posters from time to time. Some of them look great (like Mark's)
  • Thanks Matias! ...and thanks for the eBay lead, after seeing Bruce's sales results I'd love to find another nice one.
  • Here's some of his stuff

  • Really like it! All such great artwork.
  • Very nice but English titles would be great. The poster in the middle looks like a George O'Brien film to me.

There's no film names in the listings and my bulgarian ain't the best...  =)
First one must be from Thunder in the Night (1935). The last one is listed as being for "The Outer limits"

Yes the first image is Thunder in The Night ( 1935 ).The second image is Riders Of The Purple Sage ( 1931 ) starring George O'Brien. The third one appears to be non-American.
  • Am I in the right thread?

  • You sure are. =)
