  • Picked this up a while ago....always on the lookout for domestic-themed WWII one sheeets that sell low/in need of backing/resto.

  • Remember the film. Nice poster too Mark, looking forward to the restored result

Some recent pickups...  Still waiting on the Dolce Vita.

I am really proud of the conspirator 4-fogli... I could only find it in EMP image archives and I think it's pretty uncommon.  Interestingly there is writing pointing at Liz's breast saying "Seno" with an arrow to her cleavage...

  • As this poster has Elizabeth Taylor billed before Robert Taylor, who was a huge star at the time the film was made, I am thinking Conspirator received  a delayed release in Italy many years later when Elizabeth was on the rise in Hollywood.

  • "Seno" means "breast". Curious writing... I thought it was pretty clear that that was her breast. Italians....

It is a possible 1962 rerelease... It has 1962 written on the back.

Nah we practice the 'hands on experience' method
  • And that's why it's such a great country. I'm moving there when everything here explodes.. =)
  • Been wanting this uber-cool poster for years. Totally forgot about EMP's US 1S auction today but fortunately checked my email and saw BH promoting it.

KILLERS 1sh R1956 art of Burt Lancaster & sexy Ava Gardner, from Ernest Hemingway story! Note that this is the rare case where many collectors might consider a reissue poster to have a better image than that of the original. On the 1946 first release one-sheet, Lancaster and Gardner are compressed into the top left corner of the poster, with a lot of space for the title and credits, but on this re-release, their images dominate the poster, and it has a red background, whereas the first release poster had a white background.

    Heading for l-backing for sure.....

  • Wow!  You are back big time!!!
  • Ava was a real woman. Nice pick-up.
  • Nice Melvin!

Well it's time ladies and gentlemen...a sincere and heartfelt 'thank you' is owed to a certain individual who really helps make this hobby something special and without who's friendship things would feel far, far less than whole.  THANK YOU!
