The one on EMP was Heavy Card Stock I thought...

    Imma TFM, shoulda "known":

"Know that this poster we are offering here is one of the heavy stock paper originals, and we 100% guarantee it is original!"

But I prefer card stock anyway....

Mau Mau, as well as the film Karamojo, received regular screenings at small newsreel theatrettes in Australia in the 1950s and 1960s.
  • and a mau-mau to you as well sir
    ;-)

  • Mau Mau is amazing!
  • I think the use of 'naked' in the poster would have packed them in in 1955

I think 'naked' still packs them in in 2017

  • 1951 - Pickup

    1947 - Brute Force

  • 'Tis NOT the season for evil but resistance was futile....

A couple of quads in the bag, if the wife asks, the reason for the purchase was purely for their artist merit and zero to do with Ulma or Vanessa!  B)

  • I'll remember that excuse if my wife ever questions these posters in my collection
  • Rare full-size 1Ss for IMAX showing of The Martian:

Thanks, EMP sold two sets recently, I got them for 180, previous week 270. Not on eBay.
  • Need more diversity in the collection, even if politically incorrect:

Hit Man (1972 US 1S SSF)

One of these days, I'll take 5 secs to figure out what this movie is all about....

High Heels and Low Life (2001 US 1S)

  • I think you bought more postersin the past 60 days than I did the whole year.

He buys more poster per hour than all of us put together...most are good ones so no complaints
  • That's a sweet Bus Stop
  • Last post of the year, finally watched this after 15 years, excellent fun; we all know the studios "colorized" characters from pre-1960 B&W movies but this is one of few MPs that "decolorizes" characters from modern movies, also great tagline:

    Chicago (2002 US 1S SSR):

  • Chicago is a great movie, watched it many times.
  • Just got my Mysterious Pilot back from Affiche, obviously not fully restored  =)

The intent was purely to have this fragile beauty mounted before any other bits fell off!

I actually like the 'as found in a shed' look and without another example to copy, full restoration would have been a tad tricky to say the least!

    Excuse the poor lighting

    Daybill wins again!!!
  • Sweet Daybill, grats!
  • Original portrait, not a bad likeness although for the goggles went a little haywire!
