  • unny pic! My wedding gift to my cuz (left) and his new bride. (Partly obscured of course). My advice for gifting MPs: (1) Send images of potential MPs, (2) have the chosen MP restored (nobody likes folds), and (3) explain that classic-era MP originals are rare (they had ZERO clue this was rare).

  • So Bruce and I became friends on FB.

Suddenly, my world began to change (?)

    I felt ... watermarked (??) ... and um ... underlit (????)

    Must have been my imagination....

     ;)

  • Very clever, Mel.... B);)

  • Does size matter? ? Er, OF COURSE I'm referring to movie poster (MP) size! My 27x41" "War of the Worlds" 1S vs. Bruce Willis' 81x81" 6S. ??(Yes, THAT Bruce Willis!)

  • You can just give me that WAR OF THE WORLDS. It clashes with everything else you've got. I will be happy to take it off of your hands.
  • Are you slowly buying back the stuff you once purged yourself of?
  • Definitely prefer the U.S. one sheet for WotW than the Aussie OS. Congrats Mel!

There is NO method to my madness!

I would prefer to buy new-to-me stuffz but....
  • I've been posting on several FB groups and run across a few cool cats:

+ an author here in Charlotte who has been collecting eclectic MPs for year including:

[this is Spanish version he has official US rr version]

So David sent me pics and info:

My writing studio is a vintage camper. My friend Jim (now in the hospital recovering from a stroke in Winston) helped me rip out the Dinette booth and put down new carpet. I added a desk and comfortable swivel chair. It has a full bath, kitchen and bedroom, though I rarely use any of them. Sometimes I watch movies, I've fallen asleep a couple of times and I have made coffee, but that's about it. Usually just my writing studio. I do keep old movies on constantly with the sound down, And classical music. Sets the tone for writing.

  • very cool. man-cave on wheels....
  • edited November 2018
Er, the latest additions to my demesne!

ZERO planning accidentally produced the vehicle corner:

ZERO planning = the corner of weird movies:

  • Extremely annoying incorrigible narcissist returns - briefly - to resume bragging! ?

Um, I moved BACK to DC recently to the SAME apt as 2009-15 and mostly recovered the walls with “date night” gibberish!

Now how do I post pics.....?
  • Dang, forgotten how to post FB pics
  • Nice Mel! How did you nab the same
    apartment?
