The finished product in all it's glory.
  • Wow what a find!  Lucky bastardo Matias ?
  • Wow what a find!  Lucky bastardo Matias ?
     :)

One great detail is that some pages have a stamp on them ( something that lots of book owners did back in the day). This one says "Brune Fermé" so I googled the name. Turns out it was an italian guy who, in 1915, founded the first ad agency in... China! Would love to know how part of his book collection ended up in Argentina...
  • Wow, a must have for every collector!!!
  • OH MAN!  I LOVE THIS.  I WANT THIS!  Lucky bastardo indeed!
    Thanks for sharing
  • Looks like there's a first edition on ebay US for $70, and a handful of 1986 reprints of the same book on Amazon for considerably cheaper. I also ran across this title while poking around for the other one.

  • OH!  Thanks Matt.  Must grab a copy of both!
  • Guilty! Bought one...
  • I had this book and around 30 years ago I had a storage unit broken into, and a lot of stuff was stolen. Amazingly, I recovered almost everything (paying a finder's fee), but a few things never turned up, and one was this book.

So I bought the one on eBay, and now I have it again. It would be ironic if it was my one that was stolen!

    Thanks for reminding me.

Here is a handy checklist to help tell eMoviePoster.com apart from all other major auctions!
HAS lifetime guarantees on every item - IS eMoviePoster.com
HAS unrestored and unenhanced images - IS eMoviePoster.com
HAS 100% honest condition descriptions - IS eMoviePoster.com
HAS auctions where the winner is the higher of two real bidders - IS eMoviePoster.com
HAS "buyers premiums" - NOT eMoviePoster.com
HAS "reserves or starts over $1 - NOT eMoviePoster.com
HAS hidden bidder IDs - NOT eMoviePoster.com
HAS no customer service to speak of - NOT eMoviePoster.com
HAS "nosebleed" shipping charges - NOT eMoviePoster.com
HAS inadequate packaging - NOT eMoviePoster.com

  • I feel like I'm saving the book industry!!  :)
  • Add me to the bandwagon!  Good work Matias!

  • I have just ordered a copy at a reasonable price and cannot wait to receive it.

Boy do the prices for the many available copies vary. One seller advertising it for $1,500 U.S. for an original 1934 printed copy in fair condition..
  • Add me to the bandwagon!  Good work Matias!
