Mine is a NFSA reproduction. Wish I had the real thing
Better than no poster at all. Maybe someday you will acquire an original copy.
I have a question Ves for you. Recently I contacted the NFSA regarding details on any reproductions that they would have organised and sold in the past. Their retail shop has apparently closed up operating and they now only operate on line. The access member couldn't supply me with any details at all, as she didn't have any information. I checked out the NFSA online shop but nothing could be found there.
My question then is what are the differences in paper quality and size? Does the reproduction have any information printed on the poster crediting NFSA? Approximately how long ago was this reproduction able to be purchased and for how much?

Sorry it took a while, but I pulled it out today. It measures 13 x 29.5 inches...I dont have an original but it looks like it's in the ballpark for size. The paper quality is different. It is on more modern semi gloss paper, which is thicker than the normal daybill paper from the period. I bought it back in 2009 for around 10. Mine also has the following in the fine print at the bottom which is not on the original - 2005 Susanne Chauvel Carlsson and The H.C. McIntyre Trust.
Thanks very much Ves for supplying us with the details of the Jedda NFSA daybill poster version. I find it interesting that I wasn't able to locate any information on Google about this poster. It would be interesting to know how many of these posters were printed?
The best image that I could come up with showing the added credits on the bottom of the NFSA produced poster.
Extremely rare Jedda The Uncivilised U.K. quad poster. The image was kindly sent to me by Paul in the U.K. who had located the image on a website. This particular poster now belongs to Ric Chauvel Carlson who gave me the green light to display it here.
Due to the nature of this Quad, it will have been the first release. Offset printing, Printers info on the poster, etc. The previous one posted with just the Jedda name, is a silkscreen, which was used in the UK for more limited runs, Much cheaper when less posters were needed.

Can't belive it, going through my stuff, trying to get organised, and came across this, hiding for the last 30 years. From a bunch of Inserts I bought, way back....
The first poster is a rare re-issue one sheet poster that has been advertised in the past as an original 1955 poster when in fact it is a re-issue one sheet poster from the very late 1950's. The second one sheet poster is from the original release in Australia in 1955 by Columbia Pictures. IFD ceased operating around late 1959.

Rick - totally agree about doing the right thing for a seller. Many years ago I traded many items for these Australian lobby cards of Jedda.

A clearer image.
No idea on the number printed sorry.
What is interesting is that it is full size.
All other NFSA prints are undersized considerably.

Updating some more Jedda images.
