Another three images to add to this certainly fast moving quiz. I had high hopes for this particular new quiz and I am certainly more than happy with how it is faring .A big thank you for those who have been participating,, but please remember that all members are welcome to join in at any time.
C21 Once Upon a Time in the West ? C22 I was going with Dances with Wolves but can't remember that scene unless it was in the extended version
i really like you having a go Sven. Unfortunately not either of them.
C21 clue is that the film is set in the period after World War 11.The image which was originally shot in Cinemascope appears at the very beginning of the film.
C22 clue is that the buffalo are actually being shot and killed during the production as part of a scheduled herd-thinning. Sad to watch on screen.

Thanks Hondo. Looks like I will have to research more. Hopefully someone else comes up with the answer in the meantime.
C20 Australia, but never would have got it without the clue. You and I will have to disagree on this one being a "classic" film. She absolutely ruined it for me...

Correct. Australia was a 2008 release.
Ves you are referring of course to Nicole Kidman. Some people adore her, while others don't like her at all.. I have a good friend who has viewed Australia numerous times, and has no problem with Nicole's participation in the film.
In response to your comment of ''You and I will have to disagree on this one being a "classic" film. She absolutely ruined it for me..''. , the following I find interesting.
I don't dislike her...I thought she was brilliant in Dead Calm, same in Strangerland, but I just found her performance in this one WAY over the top. I know its a Baz film but still, I struggled to make it through this one.
Agreed on the "classic" take. It all comes down to individual tastes
Correct. The Last Hunt from 1956. As this film is little remembered today, a strong clue I had thought was required.
Debra Paget as the Indian girl, A bit of trivia I thought may be of interest. ''While filming a scene with Stewart Granger, Anne Bancroft was injured after falling from her horse and was replaced by Debra Paget; in the last sequence, which was apparently not re-filmed, Bancroft can still be easily recognized leaving the cave and starting to descend the mountain.'' What makes a film “classic”? Is there a general definition, or is it down to personal perspective and opinion? | by Film Chat From My Flat | Medium

Four more images, with three out of the four I believe shouldn't present a problem in identifying.

Correct. The Searchers from 1956. One of my top three westerns,. Opening scene showing Ethan's homecoming.
Correct. High Noon from 1952. Lee Van Cleef is in the posted image A top ten favourite western of mine..
Correct. The Stranger from 1946, The one I had thought would be the hardest to identify, Good work Bruce.
WOW! What an enthusiastic and very prompt response in answering all four posted images, and without having to provide any clues.
Off to bed now, but four more images will be on the way later today.
Let's see how this batch fares then?
