Sorry C48 isn't The Big Sleep. Don't think traditional crime / film noir as it is completely different genre

Spot on with Kiss Me Deadly ( 1955 ) though. I had you in mind when I included this image, so glad that you answered it Sven. The girl in the image is a young Cloris Leachman in her first theatrical film role.

  • C50. King Creole

  • C51 Close Encounters?

Correct. King Creole from 1958. I am sure Rick would know this one as well. Elvis and Kitty White performing the impressive Crawfish musical number together.

You apparently must have overlooked it Bruce but C51 is Kiss Me Deadly which was answered correctly by Sven yesterday.

  • C48 clue is that sometimes things aren't exactly what they appear to be.

C49 clue that is this is from the end sequence from a much loved classic film.
  • While one perhaps still thinks about trying to identify the names of the C48 and C49 images,  here are two more hopefully easier film scenes that someone should be able to recognize.

    C52  C53
  • C53 Them!
  • C52 is Storm Warning (1951)   But I used image search.  Never seen it, but I will try and find it

Correct. A well made film worth seeking out.

  • C48 final clue is a terrific performance from an actress who had not too long in the past played a completely different type of mother.

C49 final clue is a comedy film.
  • Some great crime / film noir images coming up shortly.

  • Is C49 Some Like it Hof?  The final scene clue with Lemon and Joe E Brown on yacht

A much darker film than The Sound Of Musiic.

  • C48 The Manchurian Candidate, but I cheated.

C49 - I never would have gotten and I adore that film!  Well done Jay
  • C48 The Manchurian Candidate, but I cheated.

C48 is indeed The Manchurian Candidate from 1962,

Printed on the below poster is . Anyone who hasn't seen this film or read anything about it, will be I am sure confused about the following two images. If this happens to be the case  I recommend these people view this excellent film to find out the story behind the two different images.

  • Some great crime / film noir images coming up shortly.
  •  C54  C55 C56  C57

Four crime / film noir images that I am hoping will be able to  identified. I find the most interesting images originate from this genre of film.
  • Not my genre, so I'll sit out
  • C57 White Heat ?

    C57 White Heat ?

    Sorry not White Heat.

  • C55 The Killers
Well done. It is The Killers from 1946 with Sam Levene and Burt Lancaster in the image scene.

  • C54  I guess Narrow Margin, but I have no idea.  Where is that Canadian when we need him.

  • C54  I guess Narrow Margin, but I have no idea.  Where is that Canadian when we need him.

You guessed correctly, so well done, The Narrow Margin from 1952, It is Charles McGraw's slightly distorted image that appears in my originally posted image.

  • I am now thinking that my enthusiasm for crime and film noir movies got me carried away somewhat, so some clues shouldn't now go astray here then.

C56  Opening sequence with a man sitting in a train carriage looking at oncoming train lights, which has a negative effect on him.

C57 The film's main character on the run from the underworld in a large city.
  • C56 Crack Up

    C57 Night and the City
