  • c121  Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein...I admit, I barely looked at it assuming it was one of the later Frankenstein remakes
Correct. Abbott And Costello Meet Frankenstein ( 1948 ). Happy my prompt for you worked Ves.

     Australian title.

  • C122 clue is that the film is a mixture of the two arts ballet and opera.
  •  C123
     C124

Two scenes from a couple of classic films. I am thinking one should be much easier to answer than the other..
  • C122 clue is that it is a Powell and Pressburger  production that is a mixture of ballet and opera. Shouldn't be too hard to come up with the answer I would have thought.

C123 The scenery should be a massive clue to  figure out the title of  this film even if you haven't seen it. I am surprised no one has managed to come up with the answer so far.

C124 is certainly a film that definitely doesn't appeal to everyone's taste. The harder of the three images to identify from the image displayed.

  • C122 final clue is a famous Australian is a cast member.

Final clue for C123 is that there is also a traditional song with a similar title.

C124 final additional image clue. This one is difficult I have to admit.

  • C123 My Darling Clemintine
  • C124 The Silence of the Lambs

Correct  I had thought that this one wouldn't have been an easy one to answer, so well done. The Silence Of the Lambs from 1991,

  • Despite many clues, and after six days being unanswered, image C122 would certainly appear that it will not be answered.

I will now reveal the answer to be Tales of Hoffmann from 1951.

Hard to say, though if you like Powell and Pressburger in their glory fays you will most likely appreciate it.

The following section of a review of the film posted on IMDb sums the film up most likely better than I would.
Certainly THE TALES OF HOFFMANN is not a film for everyone. It's done as pure opera with singing throughout and performed as a ballet with lavish set designs and breathtaking use of Technicolor. It won Oscar nominations for Set Decoration and Color and is produced in the tasteful style of all Powell and Pressburger films.

  •  C125  C126

A couple more images to have a think about. A clue for C126 is forget about who the pictured actress may be, and concentrate on the background scenery and what else could be happening in the scene.  .
  • C126 To Catch a Thief
  • C126 To Catch a Thief
    Correct. To Catch A Thief ( 1955 ).

  • C125 The Collector, a very disturbing movie. Kind of like William Wyler's Peeping Tom.

Correct, The Collector from 1965. I have never viewed Peeping Tom as it certainly looked too disturbing to me.

I believe that you had meant to say Michael Powell's Peeping Tom, and not William Wyler who was the director of The Collector.

  • Yes, I mean The Collector was to Wyler what Peeping Tom was to Powell. Both movies turned off many of their most die-hard fans.

  •  C127  C128

Let's see how we fare with these two images from very well known films..
  • c127.  To Sir With Love, darn it I love that movie!  Genius man that he was on screen...
  • There was a Greyhound bus in Elvis' Tickle Me, but it might be a stretch to call it a classic movie!
  • c127.  To Sir With Love, darn it I love that movie!  Genius man that he was on screen...
Correct. To Sir With Love from 1967. A fine actor. 1967 was a great year for him aritistically and at the box office. Along with To Sir, With Love  there was also In The Heat Of The Night and Guess Who's Coming To Dinner.

Two films I fondly remember him in are No Way Out ( 1950 ) and Edge Of The City  ( aka A Man Is Ten Feet Tall ) from 1957.

There is music in the film that image C128 displays, but it is music of a completely different style that is performed in this film..

C128 High Society, a favorite of mine.  Retelling of the arguably better The Philidelphia Story, but the musical combo of Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra and Louis Armstrong make this a classic

  •

Correct. High Society from 1956. Yes it certainly is a  a great viewing experience.
  •   C129  C130

Two more images that shouldn't present a problem in identifying.

  • C129 Anatomy of a Murder. a wonderful movie with classic Saul Bass poster art!
