I've heard good things but haven't seen it as I don't like horror. Hoe full on in the horror element?
There is some graphic visual violence, but the majority of the tension derives from what you know is there but mainly cannot see. Edge of the seat stuff handled with great direction, editing and music score.
Took me a while to work out what C160 even was but just realised it's a gorilla costume and that must be Marlene Dietrich in Blonde Venus (1932)
Correct and well worked out. I have never seen the original film, but I have viewed this scene that appeared in the opening credits of an excellent 1965 documentary titled The Love Goddesses. This film is definitely worth tracking down.
For something a little different this time, two animated short films images.
I know from my previous The Animation Quiz participation that this genre of films is popular. I believe that I can classify these two films as being classics of their genre.
I am somewhat surprised that answers for images C161 and C162 having been forthcoming. Google will definitely quickly supply the answer to at least image nu,ber C162.
Correct. Mickey's Fire Brigade is an early 8 minute colour animated short film that was released by United Artists. Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy combination, seen in the above image with Clarabelle The Cow who appeared in 28 Walt Disney cartoons from 1928 until 1942.
C161 - The Cat Concerto (1947). Tom and Jerry, if it had been Warner Bros I would have guessed it quicker!
Correct. Interestingly the film won a 1946 Oscar, but was only released in the U.S.A. on April 26, 1947.
It won the 1946 Oscar for Best Short Subject: Cartoons. In 1994, it was voted #42 of the 50 Greatest Cartoons of all time by members of the animation field. The short won the duo their fourth consecutive Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film, tied with Walt Disney Productions' musical series, the Silly Symphonies. The Cat Concerto is the 29th Tom and Jerryanimated cartoon. It was released in theaters on April 26, 1947 and was produced by Fred Q uimby and directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. It is considered one of the best Tom and Jerry cartoons ever made, winning the Academy Award for Best Short Subject: Cartoons in the 19th Academy Awards.[1] ( Wikipedia )
What is also of interest here is that the U.S.A. one sheet has no Tom And Jerry credit appearing on it, yet the Australian one sheet does. There is an explanation for this though. Tom And Jerry cartoons from 1940 until part of 1947 didn't have Tom And Jerry's name credit printed on them. Later in 1947 a Tom And Jerry credit then appeared on all of there posters from there on. With most likely a delayed Australian release this would account for the Tom And Jerry name credit being printed on the Australian one sheet.

Correct. The Odd Couple was released in 1968. A very funny and most enjoyable film that is well remembered. I also have some found memories of the Neil Simon written play, where my wife played one of the Pigeon sisters, and I worked backstage in an amateur stage production.
Felix Ungar ( Jack Lemmon ) with the Pigeon Sisters.

How about these two then? Both very highly rated films that I would call classics.
