Indeed C602 is Inherit The Wind from 1960. A great Stanley Kramer film.

  • A C603 clue is part of one of the Golden Years Of Hollywood classic scenes,
  • C603  -the staircase scene from Sunset Boulevard (1950)

  • C603  -the staircase scene from Sunset Boulevard (1950)
Correct and well remembered. The image is from the famous scene where the memorable line "'All right Mr. DeMille, I'm ready for my close-up'' is spoken. I just watched this acene on Google again and it gave me chills watching it.

  • The musical on Broadway was great for that scene, it had an enormous video projection screen that covered almost the entire stage, when Norma walked toward the front of the stage for her 'closeup', it was on the screen, so she did actually get an enormous closeup (similar to the picture below).

    Very effective!

  • Great information Peter, Thanks for sharing it here.
  • C604  C605
These two images possibility could present a problem. I would love for you to prove otherwise,
  • 604 The Third Man
  • 604 The Third Man
Yes indeed C604 is The Third Man from 1949. Well spotted.

A classic Carol Reed film. Once heard who could forget the Anton Karas The Third Man soundtrack theme that he played on a zither

  • C605 clue is Hollywood.
  • Is C605 The Bad and the Beautiful (1952)?

Is C605 The Bad and the Beautiful (1952)?
Yes indeed it is the one. Well worked out.

  • A favourite film of mine, I should have worked it out sooner!

    Peter
  •  C606  C607
    Could be a challenge.

  • C607 - looked very familiar, took a little while to identify - It's Network (1976)

Well done. Peter Finch seen below as he appeared in his Academy Award winning Best Actor roll. William Holden who was also nominated for Best Actor was also excellent in the film in a less showy role.

    606 clue is heist.
  • C606 reminded me of The Ladykillers (1955), it has the same colour look that the film does, but I don't think it's that film.

Yes you are right in thinking that it isn't The Ladykillers.

A clue is not a British film, but one set in a more exotic country. Ponder this clue along with the earlier mentioned clue heist.

How about I extend my previous clue heist to be another heist, I just wish this great film was better known today.
  • A final clue for C606 is a strong connection to a classic heist film from the 1950's.
  • That's one of the films I was looking at, haven't seen it and couldn't find the image...but I think you're correct.

    Peter
  • Hmm, for some reason the image didnt come up in my post...trying again:

  • Topkapi
C606 is indeed Topkapi from 1964.
That's one of the films I was looking at, haven't seen it and couldn't find the image...but I think you're correct.
A great suspenseful film well worthwhile seeking out.

  • I'll check it out! I like heist films.

    Peter
  •  C608  C609
Something a little different this time around with one of the images presented. here.
  • C609 - Too easy, so I'll leave it to someone else.
    C608 - I'd be guessing because I think it's from a film I haven't seen, so I'll wait a bit.
