And the Capitol Orchestra plays beforehand, recreating the experience of the original Capitol Orchestra. These are really good sessions at the Capitol. This photo was taken last year.
It would certainly have been a wonderful experience to see the screening at the Capitol theatre, and hearing the orchestra playing beforehand.
How was your experience Ves, and was there any music played during the film's screening, or was it just a silent screening? I am also curious as to what silent short films were included on the programme.
I will shortly be presenting ten rare Australian poster images from the film on the ''Rare Australia Posters Of Australian Films'' thread I am sure that you, along with others, should appreciate them.
It was wonderful. My other half also enjoyed it (which surprised us both). There was a pre-show by the orchestra which was fantastic, even consisting of a 1920s drum kit. They even had the mics tuned to that 20s tinny sound. So great! They played songs from that era and it was a delight to hear.
The movie had its own soundtrack, so no orchestra during the show, but that was wonderful also. Great to finally see this film, after owning the posters for a while. looking forward to your post.
