C646 C647
Two new challenges for you hopefully to find answers for.
Is C647 Elvis? (Big Mama Thornton singing Hound Dog)
Correct, and well spotted that the scene is from Elvis (2022). The singer is Yola, but not playing the part of Big Mama Thornton singing Hound Dog. Yola actually performs as Sister Rosetta Tharpe singing Strange Things Happen Every Day.
Yes you are correct, and well remembered. The full scene features Harrison Ford seen jumping, and Tommy Lee Jones behind him. The Fugitive from 1993. .
Seeing there hasn't been an answer received yet for C649 I will now reveal the answer as being Wind River from 2017. The earlier posted scene shows a mountain lion sheltering from the snow with her two cubs. They are discovered by a tracker/hunter from the U.S .Fish and Wildlife Service on the Wild River Wyoming Indian Reservation. This film comes highly recommended if you haven't seen it,
Point of order. Does "do you know your classic movies?" refer to well regarded movies?
I will have to broaden my guesses when looking at images in this thread.

If I had solely included only limited undisputed ''true classic'' films such as Citizen Kane, Casablance and The Wizard Oz in this thread when I had started it here in September 2022 the quiz would have long past run out of new film images to include, and I would have since ceased running it.
There are many meanings for classic and one is just high quality, I base almost all of my entries included here on this forum as being found rated 7/10 or higher on IMDb. Most films included on IMDb would not be rated 7/10 or more.
In retrospect I perhaps should have originally called the thread ''A Do You Know Your Well Regarded Movie Quiz'' then.
have to admit i've never heard of that one, let alone seen it.
The film was seen at the cinema here in Sydney by two other people I know that I have spoken to. about the film at the time of its release. I will try not to include any obscure film titles in the quiz from now on.
It's not a problem for me, a film that's obscure to some people might not be obscure to others. I like a challenge every now and then, keep throwing in "well regarded" films every now and then, keeps us on our toes.

I do appreciate all your comments regarding the subject and hopefully there will be still others to be received and they all will be given due consideration

These two images may present a problem, but both films are very well regarded.
