I picked them up probably 4 years ago from the niece of a long dead film buff who ran (from memory) the NSW Film Appreciation Society, they were in an old suitcase along with a few other posters and had been there since they were last used 50 years ago. He used to hold these nights and the distributor would provide them the movie and sometimes the posters. 

I contacted the NFSA (National Film and Sound Archive) and asked if they might be interested, she said they might be, she would check to see what they had. I asked how many they had, she told me they had two - now they have more...

As magnanimous as it sounds they actually offered to buy them (and did), but in my defense they offered me a whole lot more than I was expecting, so I took what I was expecting and not what they offered.
