Interesting stock poster that I have never seen before, What makes it more interesting than usual is that the images don't all come from the one film companies product. There are images shown on the poster taken from films belonging to various film distributors.
It came from a large collection of posters from Blake films. Can you identify any of the films? Some of them look familiar but I'm not too good with westerns. Interesting that John Wayne appears on the poster.

I have identified images from films originally released by Warner Bros, MGM, Universal, United Artists and most likely Columbia. Five images I have identified leaving four still to be identified but with two of these I know the stars but the films elude me at present but I will continue to work on it. I will hold back a short time to give anyone else an opportunity to answer.
First thing is the name of the stock poster. It is Thundering what ? I will comment when I hear back from you. Also is there a chance we can view the full poster image?
Not sure if you are seeing this image at the top of the thread in the first post. The second post was just a close up of the two images. The daybill measures 13" x 30".
Thanks. For some reason I didn't see the original posting. I wasn't expecting any printers credits to be on the daybill so I wasn't surprised when this happens to be the case.
The poster appears to be a 1970s New Zealand printed poster. Have some information to suggest this but I still have another line of inquiry to chase up on Monday.
When you say NZ printed, do you think it might have been printed in Australia for use in NZ or actually printed in NZ? On the back of the poster someone has written "The Three Musketeers of the West" NRC 88 mins in pencil. This suggests (not confirms) that it might be an early 70s poster. It came from a collection of posters from a Sydney distributor. It is certainly possible that the poster could have been printed for use in NZ.
I should have said a printed for New Zealand release poster but country of origin for the printing of the poster unknown.
Some details on the pencilled in title on the back of the poster. The Three Musketeers Of The West ( 1973 ) is a spaghetti western comedy film from Italy passed for release in Australia on 1st of December, 1974 with a NRC rating. The distributor is Filmways Australia. Interestingly the running time was credited as being 96 minutes and not the 88minutes written on the back of the poster. I am wondering if perhaps that when this film was released in New Zealand their censors removed another 8 minutes of footage? Apparently the film contained some nudity for starters.
The early seventies appears to also tie in with mainly the poster images depicted on the stock poster.

Did you the obtain the Blake Films collection from a New Zealand source or if not would it be possible the collection to have at one time been in New Zealand ?
No, nothing to do with NZ. They apparently came from Sydney - lots of Blake Sexploitation, etc and some other odd posters like the Western stock and Screamnig Bone Crushing, etc.
It's the odd posters category titles without any distributors credits that seem to have no connection to Blake Films in Australia that are interesting. I remember you had the A Madhouse of Mirth And Merriment! cartoon stock daybill as well which turned out to be a printed for New Zealand release for the Columbia / Warner partnership, also the Screaming Bone Crushing etc. poster is a Roadshow related poster and the current Thundering Western Excitement! daybill is looking like it is a poster printed for New Zealand release. Curious to know if how many more titles of these type of posters you have.
There were only the three styles of stock daybill which you have now seen. There were a lot of other daybills, photo sheets and one sheets in the collection that were not identifiable as Blake Films releases but generally all B - C grade.

I would like to try and identify the other daybills for you as to who the distributors are, so if you feel inclined from time to time to post an image or two that would be great. I prefer non sexploitation titles though.
Sorry I had forgotten about this thread, until I saw the western stock poster poster used and overprinted with Blazing Saddles appearing on it.
An update, in that the images are, starting at the top of the poster, How The West Was Won, Cannon For Cordoba, Wild Rovers ( two men on horses ), The Great Northfield Minnesota Raid and How The West Was Won ( again ). The bottom section has Billy Jack, The Desperado Trail and Chisum which Mark ( Eisenhower ) had originally thought it was. The only one I cannot recognise is the image above Billy Jack of a group of men on a hill.
The four distributors product appearing on this poster are from Warner Bros, MGM, United Artists & Columbia. I had mentioned two years ago Universal, but have since ruled them out. A very interesting poster with no explanation of why the joining up of the four distributors, except to say that I think it is a New Zealand poster. In 1972 Columbia Pictures formed a partnership with Warner Bros. in New Zealand, This of course doesn't explain how MGM and United Artists fit into the puzzle though.
My comments have been amended slightly since posted earlier.

O.K. I didn't realise the two pieces represented the full poster. My next question then is what is the size of the poster?
