@theartofmovieposters Ves, Frank is now hanging out with King Baggot! I had them make the frame with a 39 1/2" opening in the mat, should i want to swap Frank out with another longbil lol down the line. It also highlights what's missing, which adds to the 'found hanging on a hook in a garden shed for a few decades' backstory.
I need to get the back of Mysterious Pilot pressing harder against the mat to get rid of the ripples, but apart from that, he's certainly moved up in the world from his last hang out.
Went for the same 100% UV blocking acrylic as the giant beside him.

Just wanted to say a big thanks to Wil. I have a few long ones in this boat and I have been procrastinating about what to do with them. This was one of the options I was thinking of, but wasn't sure what it would look like. Now I know
The above pic also give a great perspective on how HUGE the knight is:)
Well done! Oh and To Kill a Mockingbird is AWESOME!
@theartofmovieposters The pleasure is all mine Ves, images of your older titles played a role in broadening my tastes.
They had there first showing last night when my other half had a peer group meeting at our pad. They were certainly well received, although one of the group originated from the Middle East and I could tell that an image of a knight dressed in crusading attire wasn't exactly his cup of tea!
Sadly that text is far to similar to a line spoken by Gandalf the Grey and having those movies repeatedly played or mentioned on local kiwi television like they were the greatest productions ever produced, makes me die a little inside everytime I hear it.
This has been rolling around for a couple of years and I finally got it framed. It's in poor condition, it's missing a little surface and someone just used a black marker. It's full of dings and edge wear. But still, it's unfolded. The framing cost more than this is worth in this condition but I had to get this done. Too bad the acrylic is ridicilously reflective, it was hard to get a decent photo!
Good work! Re mylar reflection...you get used to it...trust me 😁
I switched from the reflective uv plexiglass to the non reflective uv tru vue glass, so the reflection is minimal (slight reflection from the mylar)..the mylar reflection does not bother me anymore and great feeling to know the artwork is not adherred.
Thanks guys, I appreciate it! Luckily you can't see all the wavy roll marks and hundreds of surface scuffs, LOL! But it is the SW poster to have, I think. It is my only professionally framed poster, all others are just on snap-on frames straight from a theatre but this one didn't fit.
The poster was a miracle find, I didn't pay that much for it, maybe 10-30€? It
was part of a bulk deal. I was surprised to find one "locally", the guy
told me he had bought it from the UK in the 90s I think. Probably the only one here.
I wish they had non-reflective plexi here for these...

They look really good side-by-side. Diggin the open bottom space left for the missing piece....good way to highlight its history!

I prefer the tried and true and sturdy "drill a hole, insert an anchor, screw in a hanging screw method"
It helps my peace of mind and keeps the wallet in check. Then again I am sure my walls very much dislike the intrusions haha...
