How Observant Are You ?

In this great display in a cinema there are four films advertised with standees and posters that are viewable to human eyesight in the image. Two are immediately known to the person viewing but the other two aren't. There is an obvious clue to narrow down the year. Sorry the image is so dark but that shouldn't stop anyone working out the titles as I successfully managed to do so. The posters are on the wall in glass displays. Good luck.

This is the theatre from which a lot of the images are taken from, but the BESTEST thing is if you click on the image and then simply scroll your mouse over the image you will be able to zoom in incredibly close and clearly - left click and hold to move around the image)

Interesting looking at The Iron Man. Maybe that's where the writers for Dr Who go their inspiration for Daleks!

 The Blonde Captive ( 1931)  had footage shot in Australia. The black and white advertising material at the top is correctly showing an Australian aboriginal with the woman. All other posters and advertising material that  I have sighted has Australian aboriginals depicted on the paper. There is another extended poster image similar to the one just above that shows a film poster behind a glass display, clearly showing Australian aboriginals appearing on it. The standee is showing what looks like a Zulu warrior from South Africa menacing the woman. Compare the image to the Zulu warrior on the Untamed 1955 daybill. The shied certainly gives away the huge error in the production of the standee.

 This Tabu Image shows the original spear in full. It is nice to know it wasn't only Australians who cheated with their film advertising material. Of interest two different film distributors.
