Posting Images V2

edited November 2016 in Hey Newbie...
Tip 1. Drag and Drop (from Heritage)

As we know emovieposter.com kindly allows us to hotlink images from his website, this is a great help and we thank Bruce for that.

Heritage on the other hand makes it a little more difficult, in fact you can't hotlink an image by pasting the image link as you normally would. However, there is a workaround... =)

  1. Click inside the comment box (you are going to make a post in).
  2. Now open a second tab *Ctrl-T) and go the the image gallery on Heritage.
  3. Find the image in the gallery (don't open)
  4. Left click/hold over the poster in the gallery area then drag across to the forum tab and release into the post, tada!

  • Tip 2. Posting Images from Dropbox

Dropbox technically doesn't allow you to hotlink/embed from your Dropbox. However there is a workaround... =)

    1. With your Dropbox image open click the Share option (button)
    2. Click 'Copy Link'
    3. Post the image as you would normally do
    4. Now click the </> sybmbol above the comment box
    5. Look for the code ?dl=0" and change it to ?dl=1"
    6. Press the </> button again, tada!

  • Tip 3. Copy n Paste

If all else fails and you just can't work out how to paste an image from another website (not from a photo sharing one) then the copy n paste works very well.

Unlike the old fashioned forums out there this forum allows you to copy n paste entire web pages/images and best of all it retains the original links too.
    1. Simply highlight the image or the part of the webpage you want to share.
    2. Right click/copy
    3. Back in this forum you simply 'Right click and paste' in the comment box
    4. Tada! (aren't we a clever forum)
It may take you a couple of goes to understand/get it to work how you want it to, but it is very easy.
