For the moderators ...

There have been lots of links on the forum to ebay listings. It might be worth considering that ebay removes all listing records after a few months so the older links just redirect to a random ebay search page after a period of time. This can hide many listings where customers might have been misled by the seller. Maybe better to show a screen shot of the listing in question?

  • By all means, people can put a screenshot up for sure, if they like.

What do you mean by this?

"This can hide many listings where customers might have been misled by the seller."

An example is when someone buys a Portal poster that has been described as original. They find out six months later that the description was inaccurate. They look for the listing to verify and it is not longer visible and no way of finding it again.
  • Ok, gotcha.

I've googled old listings before and have found some of them but not all.

  • There are actually many examples of ebay links on this forum which no longer go to the intended page. An example is in this thread ...

The poster in question is no longer listed so now it just goes to a generic page that lists similar items.

I think its worth looking at because when someone finds a thread in a search about a particular poster the link often will not work so they wont really know what the thread was actually about.

Of course, with Bruce and Heritage you can always find a link to the item in their search history.
  • As the site is called "Vintage" movie poster forum, what is the newest stuff we can post..?     Just curious.
  • Never figured that would be a concern.  There is no limit IMO.  If you want to post new posters, go for it!
  • I did stop posting new posters as the site said Vintage... you never know.
