Spot on with both the answers. What Ever Happened To Baby Jane? from 1962,and Frankenstein from 1931. I had thought Frankenstein may have been the hardest of the four to answer.

  • C419 - an iconic image form Wake In Fright (1971)
Correct and well spotted. The great Donald Pleasence was featured in the previously posted image.

     C417
A cue here is a cult classic.
  • I've seen that mage before but can't place it for now.

    Peter
  •  C417.
A slightly extended image. A clue is about to find fame on television. Does this help at all?
  • I would love to see C417 answered, so another clue is lots of animals appear in this film.

  • A final clue for C417 is detective.

  • One of the things that made this difficult is that it most often shows up as a reversed image

It was a toss up with which of the two versions to use.

Good to know you know the answer then Jay, but holding back at present.  For others a final clue is an extremely well known comedian involved.

  • That did it. Ace Ventura:Pet Detective (1994)

    Peter
  • That did it. Ace Ventura:Pet Detective (1994)
Correct answer for C417. Courtney Cox featured in the below image.

  •
     C421  C422
I am wondering if these two new images will present any problems in identifying?
  • As C421 and C422 are proving to be a little difficult in answering, I will now provide a few clues.

C421 clue is a genuine screen legend is holding the baby.

C432 clue is that two of the stars of this film had their career's boosted due to their performances in this film.
  • I was thinking C432 could be Elmer Gantry, but I don't remember that scene being in it.

Sorry but not Elmer Gantry. A further clue is to concentrate of the way the women in the background are dressed.
  • C422 additional film clue is a very strong family connection involved..

  •  C421  C422
Slightly expanded images that I am hoping may assist you.
  • Final C421 clue is was previously a tramp.

Final C422 clue is magnificent times just ahead,
  • c421 Charlie Chaplin in The Great Dictator
  • c421 Charlie Chaplin in The Great Dictator
Correct The Great Dictator from 1940.

  • As C422 has proven much too difficult to answer I will now reveal the film image in question to be Tiger Bay from 1959.

  • A hard one!

    Peter
  • A hard one!
O.k. then let us have some feedback from the participants of my quizzes , and also any non-contributors who enjoy the quizzes but just enjoy working them out for themselves from home.

Is the mix of images that I provide, in them being a combination of easy, solvable and occasionally hard ones remain, or would you prefer for me to not include any seemingly hard ones, but to include more most likely recognisable ones? Please let me know.
  • Include the hard ones, it should still be familiar to some people. If I knew everything straight away it'd be no fun.

    Peter
  • Include all I say...if there is no answer from anyone else, and I have no idea...I usually try google, but sometimes even that doesn't work, hence the no answer.
  • I'm not very good at these either hard or easy
  • I have a funny memory. Some I instantly remember, and others I don't know in the slightest.

PLEASE keep doing it exactly as you have been.

I especially like the clues, because that often creates a second challenge.
