1968 Iron Man First Issue — And the Craziest Pairing I’ve Ever Assembled

Anyone who’s followed my handful of posts here so far will have concluded with razor-sharp precision: this guy is insane.
I proved it again today by winning the 1968 first issue of Iron Man at auction. It pairs perfectly with the handcrafted first-edition piece I also own by Randy B. Procter — a man who does astonishing things with a soldering iron on paper. In this case, he literally burned the cover image of that very first issue into the surface. A one-of-a-kind work.
Together, they’re going to be framed properly — and no one else on the planet will have this combination. Being crazy has its price. I’m happy to pay it, within the limits of my admittedly finite means.
I mean, seriously — how awesome is that? 🙂
What do you think?
Both pieces are still on their way to me here in Germany, so for now I have to rely on the Heritage photos.
