Can't say I remember seeing him in anything. Sort of a Terry-Thomas look about him
Was driving me nuts who he reminded me of, Terry Thomas is it!
Terry 'hyphen' Thomas - the hyphen represented the gap in his teeth (he said)
  • Thanks Reg now I know for sure W.E.Smith printed 3 sheets.

But this was a one sheet - how do we know for sure now?
  • Oops getting my one sheets mixed up with 3 sheets. I should have said earlier '' Does anyone have an Australian three sheet printed by W.E Smith'' and not a one sheet as asked by me. Shouldn't stay up ;late and make typos and I didn't pay attention to Reg's posted image of Gangs Of New York this morning when I was about to go out for the day.

We still do not have an example of a W.E. Smith three sheet so it is still in doubt whether they printed any three sheets or not. If anyone can find one please let us know.

Good John. Another printer we have established  that printed 3 sheets.
  • I found some old pics of 3 sheets I used to have, but unfortunately I can't make out the printer info, so not much help I'm afraid.
  • Love to see the images though. We then know they exist.
  • oki dokes..let me get to uploading...
  • Two actually look like they have no printer info, but I have no idea what it says on the Rock-a-bye Baby

  • Wow Ves  love your stuff...

  • Like Ves, I note quite a number of 3 Sheets don't have the printer's moniker on it, one of those things we may never know.
  • Well, I finally got to sort some tubes I haven't opened in ages, and came across the aussie 3 sheet for "Requiem for a dream". It was actually not a 3 sheet, but a wilding poster printed in 2 pieces of around 30x39 inches
