  • 23 was the hardest to pick which part of the poster.  Anything else would have given it away instantly...agree, it will be the hardest

    Not for me ;)
  • Go on then....put Lawrence out of his misery
  • Yes ma'am!

    #23 is Touch of Evil
  • Smarty pants ;)

    Correct!

  • I am glad I know now. Worked out possibly the U. S. Mexican border area and even checked out The Tijuana Story but never thought about Touch Of Evil. Didn't think to check my out my ''poor artwork daybill design'' folder because if I had done so there it would have been in all it's F.Cunninghame splendour. Even what looks like the exploding car is there in Ves's image for one and all to see but didn't pick up on that.
  • When I eventually get back to posting film noir images I now have an amazing assortment of images of around a hundred with a good selection of images to challenge Chris with.
  • I found some good ones, but the images are all too small...when I crop out the bit I want to use they are tiny and any manipulation in the size to make them bigger makes them pixelated.  I'm surprised at how little some of the images are readily available on the interwebs!

Besides, Chris spends way too much time just sitting and staring at all his perty bits of paper...rocking back and forth...back and forth...back and forth....

Ves that is actually my celebratory dancing!

Still trying to figure out 25, 26 & 27 images. While we are about that how about I throw in one myself . So here is image # 28. Name the film title.
  • The hat on the man's head on the bottom right side in image # 27 appears rather odd.
  • Think more along the lines of where they might be...

Sorry it doesn't help. Seeing it appears nobody at this time is going to come up with the answers for 25, 26 & 27 and I don't want you to give the answers is it possible for clues in either the years of perhaps a little more exposure of the poster design as I really want to solve these.
  •                                                                                                                                                                                     Image # 29. Name the film title.
  • #29 is Port of New York
  • Quick and correct. Port Of New York ( 1949 ). Yul Brynner made his motion picture debut in this film.
  •                                                                                                                                                                                            Image # 30. Name the film title.
  •                                                                                                                                                                                    Image # 31. Name the film title.
  • I seem to have you scratching your heads now.

Hmmm I am not very good at giving clues, but leave it with me and I will try to put something up tonight.
  • 31 - The Long Arm of Scotland Yard
  • 31 - The Long Arm of Scotland Yard
The Long Arm  ( 1956 ) is correct.  A British film and for one with a keen eye would have noticed where the placement of the steering wheel  was in the car.
  • 25 - Star of this one also starred in my favourite Science Fiction film - War of the Worlds.

26 - Star of this one was an MGM man

    27 - From a Richardson Studio daybill...All Aboard!

    # 25 is The Houston Story  ( 1956 )
  • # 27 is Union Station ( 1950 ).

    # 26 is Scene Of The Crime ( 1949 ).

Thanks for the clues. I should kick myself for not getting The Houston Story earlier on as Houston is in Texas which  is associated with oil fields. The other two were hard and not what I thought they would be.

  •                                                                                                                                                                                  Image # 32. Name the film title
  • Yes, yes and yes Lawrence!

I honestly thought Houston Story and Scene of the Crime would be instantly recognisable so was surprised that they were hard to get...WELL DONE!

  • 32 - highway 301...took me forever to work out the friggen number...
  • 32 - highway 301...took me forever to work out the friggen number...

    Yes Highway 301 from 1950.
