Talking about red then. Black Gunn ( 1972 ) daybill red colour not to my liking at all, and regarding The Collector ( 1965 ) I am not sure about this one. May look better looking at the actual poster.
Black Gunn looks pink to me...I am not a huge fan of pink at the best of times, so I am biased.
You most likely then won't be a fan of this W.W. And The Dixie Dancekings ( 1975 ) daybill then? I have never liked the look of this poster. Probably the worst usage of pink that I have ever sighted on a daybil.
Arizona Bound ( 1941 ) Australian daybill and an Argentinean poster, also with a red background and a similar design.
Is the Australian poster with the red and yellow combination too much do you think, or do you believe it would look amazing if the actual poster was sighted?
I have a fair number of posters with alot of red and have had them up. I have to say, they are nowhere near as in your face than those with a whole lot of yellow...but that's just me
The Lusty Men ( 1952 ) Australian 3 sheet and daybill posters with the colours red and yellow just a tad overused.

White Christmas ( 1954 ) Australian daybill and a U.S.A. insert poster.
Comparing the two posters I certainly prefer the more traditional looking U.S. version. To me the Australian poster artist went a little too far in applying the yellow and red colours to the poster.
I wasn't sure where to include the following, but finally I have decided to include it here on this thread.
The yellow background now appearing on Bruce's eMovieposter.com website I do find a little distracting. Is it just me thinking this or does anyone else agree with me?
Lawrence, I think over time you will adapt to it just fine. Quite a few older people (including myself!) don't like ANY change!

I know it's a movie ticket, but it has a hint of a Wonka Golden Ticket too.
That was the idea!

I think the Collector would get annoying really quickly!

This daybill of What A Woman from 1943 is an example of where the applied limited use of yellow could be very effective indeed.

Flame Of Araby ( 1951) U.S.A. insert poster and an Australian daybill. What happened here? I need my sunglasses.
