Just a final comment from me on the YouTube Video. Firstly, I had no involvement at all in the video and I only posted the link because I thought other collectors might find it of interest. The person who produced the video kindly contacted me to as…

(Quote) Not really, There are no other recorded examples of the Mad Max Blue Matte 26 3/4 daybill that I can find. Most of the daybills in that thread have slight differences in text or distribution details, etc eg Raiders of the Lost Ark.

(Quote) Well spotted!.

(Quote) Its not overprinted. If you compare the cloud at the top left on both posters, you can see where that is slightly cropped on the shorter version. So, about one inch has been cropped leaving the "...Remember he's on your side" text clo…

Very rare Standee for Girl of the Bush (1921)

Most certainly Charlie. Some new information about original Mad Max Australian posters coming soon.(Quote) The social media pages have certainly affected forums but most of those pages now just seem to be filled with people trying to sell their posters rather than providing information and discussion about posters.
An example i…(Quote) Not sure about that. I would have thought that they would still be too big to fit inside a film reel can even when folded. Daybills were traditionally folded in bundles of 20 or 25 over the years possibly just because it was easier to…Also interesting that no one else has commented particularly as this is a forum for those who have an appreciation of Australian Daybills.I dont think Mad Max 2 is a lobby card. It looks to have been an image cut from a Photo SheetThere were also lobby cards with a blank space so that different stills could be stuck to each card to form a set.

In many cases, Australian lobby cards were quite unique with different images to US counterparts, and many were very impressive

I have many black and white Australian lobby cards for Sexploitation films made in the 60s and 70s often through Blake Films. Lots of them had images censored and altered to satisfy censorsin Rare Australian Posters Of Australian Films Comment by John April 21
Well one thing I can tell you is that Robert Burton printers produced lobby card for many films from the early 60s on.The black and white lobby cards are also on heavy card stock. They images have been taken from stills and enlarged to fit the 11 x 14 format and they often added a text box with the title and stars plus distribution details. I really have no idea ho…(Quote) The Into the Straight lobby cards are on card stock, same thickness and feel as other lobby cards from the era. Here is another example where the lobby cards are printed on card stock.in Rare Australian Posters Of Australian Films Comment by John April 20
(Quote) I just noticed your request. I do have a lot of colourised Australian lobby cards. I cant recall ever seeing any printers details on any of them and there is not much information out there about how they were produced and printed - al…Everyone's ad for the Australian film Odds On
I have a couple(Quote) Thanks for the info Lawrence.Well, they are obviously rare and you did ask for daybills that have not been sighted before to be added here. The question is why would there be two different daybills for such a very obscure film - even if one came before the other.

I have hundreds of original Australian lobby cards from the 30s to 70s. They are often quite unique with different images and border art to US cards.
in Rare Australian Posters Of Australian Films Comment by John April 4I have picked up a few collections in recent weeks that have daybills that I have never seen before. Here is one of them
