Power Ride Style
Growing up with my mates. We always said if you're gonna get a car, make sure it has 3 things..Power Ride Style.
My 1967 XR Ford Falcon (Super Pursuit not the Pursuit 170) had just that.
At the family home in Glen Iris, just finished washing her.
My brother was working on his Holden Commodore (again). He washed it afterwards. I asked why are you doing that? He said what do you mean? I replied "You can't polish a turd"
That's me eating a Souvlaki in Geelong, there'd be garlic sauce on my jumper for sure.
All terrain vehicle, about to go fishing at Bermagui
This is the Ford carpark at Narooma with my brother.
We had another saying growing up. "Have stick, will travel" Stick=surfboard.
Drove up to Nhill about 4 hours from Melbourne for a 21st birthday party. We had a pub crawl along the way. Got that baby up to 100 mph at one stage. My brother and my best mate Craig .
Even the chicks loved her. That's Jackie, Craig's girlfriend at the time and now his wife.
I had that baby for 10 sweet years, wish I'd never sold it.

Is that a young Mark Richards standing in between the cars?!
Do Aussie vehicles come with Dingo-proof windows?
@ Mark - nope my brother is a little shorter.
@ Sven - shut up
@ Chris - yup but not as strong as your Polar bear windows
And a whole lot of lovin' went on in that car too
I've gone all nostalgic, looked it up - you can still buy them today in running order- for about 3-4 times more than I paid for mine all those decades ago! And here's one for Matty - under the bonnet, the slant six (no room for any bodies).
Yup...always got the munchies after a night out with the guys, and stopped at the local takeaway (hamburger joint not McD or KFC) to discuss the night and have a feed, and always ended up ordering more than you could eat too.
