Good thinking from the clues provided, but it isn't her,

My last clue was misleading though. What I should have said was the actress in question most famous screen role was in an adaption of a classic story.
  • A final clue for 376 is slavery.
  • I think 376 is too obscure.  Image search says Dotothy Dandridge in Tamango

I had previously many years ago discussed the inclusion of little known film images  on one of my various quizzes active at that time.

If my memory serves me correctly it was mentioned by at least one member, if not two, that a challenge to your memory and skills was o.k. from time to time.

Intentionally I do not include images that will be instantly recognised. Most of my posted quiz images I like to have you thinking about, but at the same time be fun for you.

Let me know what everyone thinks now?

Now back to the last answer. Yes it is Dorothy Dandridge in Tamango from 1958.

At initial release, depicted as interracial romance caused the film to be banned in the United States and the French colonies. (IMDb)

The film was rated A in the U.K. and only For General Exhibition here in Australia, I am unable to locate the original Australian running time to compare it with the original released running time to see if the film had been censored here,

I wasn't complaining, just observing that this was going to be very difficult.  I'm ok with that occasionally.

Related topic.  Now that Google has added AI to their search, I am seeing too many cases where using image search on obscure stuff is sometimes too easy.  At other times it can be quite misleading.  For example, for the Stormy Weather image, the AI produced this

    Search Labs | AI Overview
The image shows Ginger Rogers in the 1937 movie "Stage Door." In the movie, Rogers plays a character named Terry Randall, an aspiring actress living in a boarding house with other actresses. The photo shows Rogers wearing a glamorous gown with large, fluffy embellishments and holding a beaded purse, which is consistent with the fashion of the 1930s and her character's style in the film. "Stage Door" is a comedy-drama that explores the lives and struggles of young women trying to make it in the theater world.

Changing the search window a bit caused the AI to say it was Marlene Dietrich in Angel.
  • As well IMDB has never been reliable with the crediting of names to the images on their website, This incorrect labelling remains there forever it would seem.

One day if I am inclined to do so, and have the time and I notice some incorrect labelling I will include some examples here on the forum.,
