The 6ft. 4 ins. that is mentioned on the poster I have read else where that Donna was shorter that that but 6 ft. 4 ins. makes her sound more exciting doesn't it ? Whatever her height she would have come nowhere near the woman in the image.
There is a definite link here which will be divulged soon. I read somewhere at some time or another there were other posters with images the same as the Dr. Draculas Living Nightmares. Were they only the two appearing above or are there any others being referred to? Love to see images of any other posters, if they exist, of any Dr. Draculas images being used on them. I am thinking these two examples may well be the sum total, but let us wait and see if anything turns up or not.
Anyone think about why there are so many copies of these three posters? On IMDB alone there are 48 images of the 13 x 30 daybill, 29 of the teaser poster and 4 of the Australian one sheet in the Auction History section. This title regularly turns up for sale on many other sites in one or the other of the 3 styles as well for sale. Currently if you care to check a half a dozen or more in various styles are available for sale.
I have never seen a noticeably used copy which leads me to believe either someone found a whole stack of them in a warehouse etc. or the film never actually played in Australia (and someone found the supply that had been printed up in anticipation of it showing...)

An intelligent answer and the closest to the truth yet I believe. Needs a little fine tuning though.

Lawrence, every "old time" Australian collector and dealer knows that there was a major dealer who had massive quantities of a number of titles (in like new condition), and he sold them all to several dealers many years back.
It is no secret which titles these are, because all you have to do is look for the ones where at least 50 or more have been sold or auctioned, and they are all in great condition.

All fair enough but who originally owned the The Haunted And The Hunted ( Dementia 13 ) stockpile and who offloaded them to whatever buyer or buyers they ended up with? Were you referring to Col Porter by any chance ?
Card Mondor is a most important part of the puzzle we have to answering questions posed on this thread about the Dr. Draculas '' Living Nightmares" and The Haunted And The Hunted posters.
Card Mondor’s entire life history is contained on a single CDROM.
You can read about his first performance, his last performance and a lot
in between. Card was born in Seattle WA and was a full time pro by age
21. He toured the world in a USO show, produced a midnight spook show,
produced Virgil’s world tour and produced a national “Bozo the clownâ€
television series in Australia.
In addition to his life’s story you also get a chapter on setting up a
spook show, a copy of his first book, “Orgy of Evil†(which is a 17
page pamphlet on setting up a spook show), several tricks and many
pictures.
The main book is stored as a .pdf file, “Orgy of Evil†is another
.pdf file and Adobe Acrobat 4.05 is included and installed if needed (on
a PC, not sure what is included on the Mac version). Inserting the CD
brings up a menu that lets you read either book, browse the pictures,
install acrobat, browse the CD, or visit their website. No installation
is necessary, no hard disk space is used. The only problem I had was
the CD is labelled, not printed, and the label began pulling away from
the disk but did not effect anything.
Personal computers and recordable CDROMs have opened up a new venue
for vanity publishing. Anyone can now write a book and distribute it
electronically quickly and inexpensively, recording history that would
otherwise be lost. This CD is recommended for historians and others
interested in Card Mondor’s life.

If Carl Mondor's entire life history is contained on a single CD ROM as stated above, then the material provided within it should be able to supply the answer to the connection between the Dr. Draculas ''Living Nightmares'' and The Haunted And The Hunted posters. I will happily await your answer.

I don't think I'll spend $70.34AU for a CD ROM Lawrence... I better get a poster with that!

I thought you already had it so that is why I made my comment.
I am sure some information I have found from a limited source isn't included, as I am sure it would have surfaced by now. I would like to see if this information I have is mentioned but like you $70.34 AU could be better spent elsewhere.
O.k. Where to start ? I suppose the best way is to talk about Card Mondor who holds the key to the Dr. Draculas Living Nightmares and The Haunted And the Hunted posters. Card Mondor, Card E. Mondor, C. Edward Mondor , whatever name you would like to call him, was a very talented man born in America and over many years worked in many fields of work in the U.S.A. and Australia including as a magician, actor, film & stage promotions and advertising manager for exploitation films and late night horror shows where he also acted, television commentator, circus clown, film distributor and in charge of Aladdin's Magic Shop in Melbourne Australia. I could write a book on Card Mondor but I need to just stick to providing the facts regarding the connection linking him to the Dr. Draculas Living Nightmares and The Haunted And the Hunted posters.
In 1951-1952 Card Mondor was tour manager and promotions man for The Great Virgil stage tour of Australia and New Zealand. Touring started in New Zealand in 1952 then followed in Australia starting July 14, 1952 and well into 1953. The tour was called Magician. During this period this is where Mondor I believe had the Dr. Draculas Living Nightmatres posters printed by W.E. Smith. Mondor had played Dr. Dracula on stage in the U.S.A. The midnight shows again I believe were hoped for but were never produced in Australia and Carl Mondor ended up owning a large stack of posters for this title. It has been mentioned all the posters that have turned up to date appear to be in very good condition. He returned to the U.S.A, and then worked in the film industry involved in exploitation films at Modern Film Distributors from 1953 to 1960. Circa 1960 is when when he returned to Australia.
In 1961 Mondor established CEMP Pty.Ltd. ( Cemp Films ) in Melbourne. Initially he was one off three Directors and also was in charge of sales and publicity, In the 1960's when he obtained the Australian distribution rights to Dementia 13, retitled The Haunted And The Hunted in Australia and it seems he, being the showman he was, came up with an idea to use some of the images from his Dr Draculas Living Daylights poster, which he owned, and to use them on two of his The Haunted And The Hunted posters, being the special teaser and the one sheet. The mystery of course is why the daybill wasn't changed as well and remained exactly the same as the overseas design.
The above information comes from proven true researched information and all the opinions I expressed are firmly in my mind as to being what actually did happened.
One more thing I had meant to reinforce is to confirm my earlier remarks that Dr Draculas Living Daylights would have been printed between 1951 and 1953 sometime when Carl Mondor was here in Australia. Prior to 1951 and between 1953 and 1960 he was residing in the U.S.A. In 1960 when he returned to Australia W.E. Smith were no longer printing this type of poster. Please let me know if you agree or disagree with my findings ?
It all sounds good. Anyone who has ever done much true color printing (as I have) knows it costs little more to print 1,000 posters as to print 100.
So magicians almost always printed LOTS of posters at one time, and then used them for years wherever they worked, using snipes for the current details. That would explain why there are so many of this poster (and many other magic posters).
I have seen magic posters like this from the early 1900s on.

Additionally when I mentioned Dr Draculas Living Nightmares would have been printed between 1951 and 1953 one would have assumed if the show had taken place in Australia it would have had to have been before Carl Mondor ( Dr Dracula ) returned to the U.S.A. The newspaper records available in Australia are very comprehensive up to 1954 and no mention whatsoever of Dr Draculas Living Nightmares was found proving, I firmly believe, Dr Draculas Living Nightmares never took place in Australia. ''Midnite On Stage!'' printed on the poster indicates to me the spelling of midnite indicates the posters were intended for the U.S.A. to be used there on his return.
I have no idea, but it all sounds very reasonable to me...and would explain why they all come up for sale in the US not here...at least not that I have seen.

I think some collectors are guilty of vanity hoarding
That's good, cause I have to find it first!
