What is your favorite poster hanging on your walls?

This is on the wall above my desk. It has special meaning because I played poker for a living for ten years!

  • Is that why you stopped? Caught bluffing?

    Cracker of a poster btw!

  • image

It's been on the wall the longest, so it qualifies as my favourite.

It is THE worst feeling in the world when you bluff at the end of a really huge pot, and the other guy says, "I know I am beat, but I guess I have to call"!

  • lol.

Four of us play "Sevens" during our breaks at work. Lucky we don't play for money, I'd be broke, however I have the longest winning streak of 5 in a row.

  • King Kong probably wins for my 2016 display

  • It's a tie:

Woohoo - you hate New York!

Err...the thread said favourite hanging on your walls...New York is taking a much needed rest in the flat file.

Fear not!  It will be out and about again soonish, at which point I will resurrect this thread and rub your nose in it ;)

Actually waiting a few long ones I got off Bruce (miraculously) which will go with it just nicely.

Is it just me but if you look at the image really quickly just in passing it looks like a young Brando?

I dunno, maybe I missread the meaning of your post, but I'm not feeling the love...
  • All the posters on the walls are my favourites and I have some special ones so it would be hard to chose just one.

However, this one is right up there simply because I have always loved it (a long time) and honestly never thought I would ever be lucky enough to own one.

The Lady From Shanghai (1947) Daybill
  • How could the art dept have overlooked & misspelled Orson Welles' last name on that daybill? And not once, but twice!! That is sacrilege. :o
  • They didn't - Orson did!
  • Great looking posters already above mine, but right now, mine's The Rare Breed. It was my first paper linenbacked & although I would do the process a bit different today, I think it looks very nice.

  • I like the different reasons everyone has...
  • I guess I'll go with BAT because when Zi first started collecting I never thought I would ever have one...

My bfn says I look like her (I don't).

But I  love it anyway. It is now part of my life...

  • You could send that one to me...  and throw in your Goddard's to save on shipping. ;)

Oh wait...let me resort to the mobile! BRB
  • Back!

    Wowee...that is gorgeous.
I don't know what a bfn is, but if they think you look like that, a definate keeper :)
Don't deflect the compliment...bask in it's brilliance.  Us chicks are way too hard on ourselves me thinks.

Me also thinks we need to see more of your walls Rosa...I feel you are holding out some greatness on us!
  • oh WOW thanks for the nice comments all. I'm glad you like this one. It is a very special poster indeed ! Thank you! :)

  • Just beautiful Rosa!!!
  • That is a beautiful poster, Rosa. I love Kay Francis. She sure was "one-of-a-kind"!

Is this on your walls somewhere Lawrence?
  • If only. I had found this image years ago and just had to share it with Kay Francis admirers. The film is Let's Go Native from 1930.
  • It's nice-lotsa feathers/frills going on.
  • And the facial expression is also great.
