Burt Lancaster Trivia

 From an Australian newspaper from 1947. I always knew he was a circus acrobat but it is hard to think of his selling women's lingerie although I am sure with his smile and personality he would have been a top salesman.   

                                  Burt Lancaster and Nick Cravat in The Crimson Pirate ( 1952 ) ( top left ) and as Lange and Cravat ( top right ) at the Federal Theatre Project Circus ( sometime between 1935 and 1938 ). Burt and Nick were lifelong friends.

There is a cool trailer on youtube (link below) for Flame and the Arrow where they show Burt and a million dollars in cash, and say they will give it to anyone who can show that he didn't do all his own stunts!

                                                                                                               I just love the scene in The Flame And The Arror from 1950 where Burt performed this dangerous scene himself.

It is interesting that the caption on the clip has '' Burt Lancaster Counts The Money 1940''. It should be 1950.
