...I cheated, so mine doesn't count. I liked the castle and could not resist.. had to ask G...
I realise this one would be difficult but I included it as I had viewed the cartoon many years and I have always remembered it as being a little different. If anyone else who remembers seeing the cartoon answers fine, but if not, in the long term if anyone doesn't answer I would prefer one of you to answer it anyway, as I hate having to give the answers to my quizzes myself.
Understood. I will let Jayn_j to do it as he is the master. I can only say that that I have watched a couple of scenes on YouTube and it is pure gold. Or I will answer it tomorrow....
And my process: The animation style is definitely Warner, I guessed Chuck Jones. Looks like his stuff. The evil scientist theme would definitely be a Bugs Bunny effort. Bugs is always getting the better of evil.
So, I googled "Warner Cartoon Bugs Bunny Evil scientist image" and it showed up in the first few.
I probably have it on disc, but I couldn't connect right away.

Correct and good work. It is Hair Raising Hare ( 1952 ), although the image I had used from Pinterest incorrectly credits it as being Water Water Every Hare ( 1952 ), which also features an evil scientist sign along with Bugs Bunny.
I admit defeat. Thought it looked a bit like Jay Ward's stuff, so tried searches around him and Mr peabody. Nada. Tried searches in warner, MGM and Disney. Zilch.

Finally cheated. All I can say is well played.
Appreciate both of you in trying to work it out. A clue would be in order then, which is ''Something new in animation''.
#29 is definitely Disney, I'd say a short from the 50s? The style is or as you say 'new animation' is possibly referring to the lack of keylines or outlines which I think was trialed/tested in the 50s.

Yes to 1950's.
Yes to Walt Disney.
There is something else very different about this film.
Image # 29 is Toot, Whistle, Plunk And Boom ( 1953 ). This film was the first cartoon filmed in Cinemascope but didn't play in Australia until late 1955 as a support to 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea ( 1954 ). Awarded an Academy Award for best animated short film of 1953.
This is definitely Tex Avary's wolf character. Tried googling 'tex avary wolf' and got lots of hits on little hot riding hood, but that's not it. Tried 'tex avary wolf prison image' and found it.

Very thoughtful of you.

That's all folks!

Think some expansion in the case of # 29.

Dumb Hounded (1943)
The fish is from The Little Mermaid, a film that got a working over when my daughters were growing up
Correct. # 31 is The Little Mermaid ( 1989 ) and if anyone is interested the fish is called Flounder.
