Major John Wayne lobby card robbery alert:

I am very sad to report that a long time collector has had a number of his highly prized (and very rare) FIRST release John Wayne lobby cards stolen.

Many of these are incredibly rare, so if you are offered any of these, it is quite likely they could be the stolen ones, especially if there are several cards together.

Here are a few of the titles that were stolen (all are COMPLETE SETS of eight and the first release, except for Stagecoach, which is 5 cards):

Man from Utah

Man from Monterey

Westward Ho

plus many other cards, including not as rare titles, like complete sets on:

From his home. He had all his best John Wayne together, and that's what they took, so they had an idea what was valuable.
