  • Good stuff, Rick! An eclectic spectrum of genres.  :)
  • A WED quad. Okay I'm jealous again!!!
  • Nice haul Rick, looks like you cleaned up  very well!  :p
  • cleaned out the wallet more like it
  • Soylent Green has really cool artwork, love it! Never seen it before.
  • The WED quad is a 70's RR..

Nice to see the first release Witchfinder though...
  • Back from the linen backers and opened by!

They didn't bother to re-wrap the poster in kraft paper.
A few dings on the linen, nothing too bad.

Here's my latest, destined for the wall (I hope!)

  • There are some comments online about Border Security opening packages and not repacking them properly so they end up getting damaged in transit. I doubt that they would accept responsibility.
  • Crazy...why would US customs open a package OUTbound for Australia?

Makes me wonder if this is what happened to my stolen linenbacked posters from the US...
  • Just another reason to move to Canada.

They probably were thinking..dam another bttf
  • L-O-V-E the movie, and appreciate the 'hard-boiledness' of the poster but with a young daughter at home unfortunately one I cannot display until she's old enough to understand the historical narrative behind it.

Oh well at least I have a pic of it for now ;)

Clearly rejected by your walls then.

Well you are almost right. Rejected by my wife to frame. The dam thing cost me $497 (postage killed it) aud all up so its a write off . My wife wants me to keep it as she likes the poster, but if i am to keep one to store will get one unrestored.
So i will see how.it goes on ebay to recoup my $ otherwise off to Bruce.

    Dear Ves...advice please !

    Advice you say?
Honesty is always the best policy.

Odd that you would go to the expense without being sure it was destined for your walls...if this was rejected, do share with us what passed muster.

Yup agree on honestly, I'm all good on that one

I think it was a miscommunication between my wife and myself (I could be the one in the wrong) .

I did get permission to frame the bttf, but I did sneak in another framed poster that suddenly appeared on the wall. She seemed ok(ish) with it, but it was on the middle room wall that my son practices cricket bowling on (he uses the hallway as a pitch / run up) When the poster was framed, my son started practicing cricket bowling against the kitchen cupboard, which made a loud bang. So my wife made me take the poster down each time my son wanted to practice cricket bowling. I'm ok to do that for the sake of displaying the poster. So back on the bttf. I eyed off a spot below our air conditioner. Except! There is a wedding photo there. I suggested we could move the wedding photo to the end of the living area (a bit of a dead area). That didn't go down well. So I've hit a stale mate and told her if we are not going to frame it I'll sell it. But she wants to keep it because she likes the poster and I really don't want to store a linen backed poster. I'd rather sell it even at a lost.
     A bit silly.

But I think I found a potential solution. So stay tuned!

Well I do many odd things to be honest. I'm a bit impulsive. For example I bought 2 x Rise of Skywalker one sheets which I now don't want so they are auctioning off at 99cent no reserve.
But I like to keep myself busy with posters, so what appears odd is just a genuine passion to keep activity going with posters, even losing some $. I mean its a hobby so it's the same as blowing $$ on the race track!

  • Resolution reached! I get to frame bttf !!! :):)
It just means I have to take down / put back a particular poster when my son wants to practice his bowling!
I had to remove some poster titles from my SMS for privacy reasons! But you get to see I call my wife buba and she calls me ba!!!
Next post to be in recent hangings !

  • I couldn’t resist adding this to my Thai collection... Barbarella

  • Very cool charlie, some different   images also
  • Awesome Barbarella. I'd take that one over the white background US poster anytime

Ah!!!! Political incorrectness time... Those were the days!

@Sven Wonderful copy of BTTF. Not sure where the imperfections are. Is that originally a rolled copy? It looks great. And will up and framed i'm sure. glad a resolution was found. I've a folded copy and one day will back it and frame it. Great movie as well.

    *edit-looks rolled as no nss#.

  • @Eisenhower thanks mate! Yup it was rolled but it was stored below other posters so it was really wavy prior to backing.
  • Some QUADS for the aussie collection.  Seen better days, but will scrub up nice!
