  • ^ Well done. That is an exciting addition to the daybill collection. So it is a NZ used poster (having the "Y") but I wonder why "color" has been written in pen with American spelling

  • Yes it is a NZ version of an Australian daybillI and I too wondered that too (spelling) - could be a myriad of reasons, truth is we'll never really know.
  • Does the black bar (with "Cinemascope and color") at bottom look like a later addition to the original printing?

Looks like the Aust Ratings triangle was there to the right.

  • ^ Ok, thanks, that explains why the junction of the triangle and black bar looked jagged
  • Thanks to you David for posting a NZ version of FP.  Now, when you have a chance, can you please compare the overall colour scheme on yours vs. and Australian release example and post your opinion :)

Please do share...for that matter anyone who has had the opportunity to compare a NZ version against the Oz counterpart!
  • Colour would be spelt with a "U". :-??

I mean the actual colours (or colors) on the poster...apart from the missing ratings triangle what else looks different?
  • Yeah I know, should be the same or I am I missing something here?

Should NOT be the same if you want to keep this guy happy
  • I'm lost....

In an alternate universe where someone has possession of a NZ FP he believes that the colours are different than the Aussie example - and this hypothetical collector wants to be happy in the knowledge that this is not due to fading
  • Gotcha

  • So one US Dollar will do then right?
  • Sure...you have an hour to deliver it in person.
  • Would be funny if I could actually do that.
  • Sure, 'cause then you'd want to stay the night, eat my food drink my alcohol...you'd get the bill the next morning - that's even it up.

    That WOULD be funny  :)>-

I was being serious (for once) and I asked politely.  Do I need to ask using some Aussie slang?
  • All fixed Rick.  You have to copy the "Direct" link and then click on the square icon left of the chain and post the url there and click submit.

I wasn't being rude in my response...I need to use a winky face more often me thinks. There is no difference other than the NZ stamp, it was printed in Sydney and it seems that the Oz censor stamp was blocked but one can still see the remnants of the print. Technically I suppose as the print was there I could get that part restored, remove the NZ stamp and call it an Australian daybill...

  • Nice Rick.
  • Congrats Daveo! Nice poster too have in you're collection. The FP daybill I had was also a Nz one, with no triangle rating, didnt have colour and Y written like yours. Are you gonna keep it as is or send too dario to air brush over the colour and Y writing?
  • Jollyfine Rick.. me likes the Dawn Quad.

Forbidden Planet. It's not bad...  if you like that kind of thing.   ;)
