Not that film, but thanks anyway for submitting a guess.
  • There are not many westerns with dancing scenes (ones I know of!) and I thought of Paint Your Wagon and Shane for C579, but I am pretty certain it is neither of those. I just wanted you to know I am trying. As I said, I am bad for westerns.

Full marks for trying though. Keep thinking as something may spring to mind.

A clue for C578 is big screen debut

A clue For C570 is accordian.
  • Seeing these two images are being a problem in being identified a further clue for both films is brothers.
  • Image search says c579 is Night Passage starring Jimmy Stewart and Audie Murphy.  I don't think I've ever seen this one.
  • C578 Love Me Tender.

That's it. Night Passage from 1957.

James Srewart had the rare opportunity tp play the accordion in the film. Although he had played this instrument since childhood his playing ended up being dubbed over by a professional.

The film was to have been directed by Anthony Mann, which would have made it their sixth western together for James Stewart and Anhony Mann.  Mann pulled out of the project though, and was replaced by little known television director James Neilson.

  • I just don't want to be the one answering everything.  So I am not going to pop in. I will wait out in the hall with my memories of these fine films.
  • I am very surprised indeed that my previous two clues didn't trigger an answer, It is perhaps time to take a break from my quizzes for a while.

Let us leave things for another twenty four hours after which I will reveal the answers if nothing is received by then.
  • C582 - has to be Woody Allen, and the film is Annie Hall (1977)

Sorry in having to disappoint you Bruce seeing your enthusiasm in seeking to answer the film image's identity.

     Does this image perhaps help?
