August 2023

Based on Bruce’s comments. I’m just going to post everything I get…😀

I’ll start with these two. Rocky Horror VHS tabletop.

Stargate Prop from Mario Kassar’s collection that was featured in the Demo Reel and on the Movie poster…

  • Good lawd that is massive!  I know you are a huge fan so congrats!  Where will it be installed?  As you go up stairs?  In front of a particular door?
  • Here are a couple more.  A dated Stargate bus shelter I had never seen or knew existed. I am also a secret fan of the movie Blaze… I also bought the prop bobcat. I’ll snap a pic. I’ve got about 10 tubes to open.

I tried to buy the ZaZa Claudette Colbert OS Tuesday but I wasn’t there at the end and missed…
  • Well more Stargate goodness. Advertising agency mock-ups one including my gate prop in the second one. These appear to be intl/UK… Notice the “Summer 94” - it didn’t premiere until October in US.

I think it’s in its place for a while. But at the top of the stairs intrigues me. That might be a great place!
  • That Stargate is awesome! What material is it?
I just watched the movie last weekend. I wish they'd release SG-1 on BD, I miss that show.

Have you tried going through it?

  • Nah. Can’t get the worm hole to activate.
  • Couple more pics from last night:

Goonies B2 and a Czech Stargate… The Czech is one sheet sized which has me scratching my head.

  • Any ideas about the date of the Rear Window re-release?

Could be a re-release daybill, but also may have possibly been  produced for a second printing, or even printed for the 16mm distribution of the film. The artwork style looks 1950's to me.
  • Thanks Lawrence. I quite like it. Sadly I doubt I'll ever get an original so this might have to suffice.
  • Nice pickups!
  • The NZ sticker covers a Not Suitable for Children rating that is printed on the poster

The artwork on the Rear Window daybill  is well above average for this style of poster, especially James Stewart's likeness. A nice addition to your collection.
  • Bob Clark's Dead of Night / Deathdream arg one sheet

Hot momma! That is wonderful. Congrats.
  • Nice Dead of Night!
  • Thanks guys! It's a nice variation of the art used in the french poster (that didn't have all those crazy drawings in the hair area)
  • I just auctioned over a million dollars of stuff over my past four sets of auctions, including a fair amount of Aussie posters.

Did anyone here get ANYTHING from it?

  • I was watching a couple of those argentineans, but I'm poster broke at the moment... Surprised with that 50 feet woman. Outstanding price!
  • Nope. I keep forgetting to bid. I wanted to take a stab at the pre-awards Lawrence of Arabia but just forgot.

Yeah, thanks Bruce!  Please stop giving me an excuse to spend money...
